Correct. 6% above Stanhope after today, will go to top if VT beat Murch
Unless Stanhope beat Girgarre by substantially more than you guys beat Rushy, or you lose to Rushy!!;). All 3 sides could still finish in any of the top 3 spots. Murch is straight forward, they win, they finish top. Merrigum and Stanhope will have their ears on the VT v Murch game and then if Murch win, will be on the calculators.

So who are the ins and outs for the coaches in 2014???
Jake Lloyd will be coaching rushy again, and you would think all top 5 teams would continue with their coaches. Burnett and lancy will be an interesting one as they've made the finals, but does he want the job?? Will Patto go another year at gig?? Same for terry m at undera.. Obviously ardy are looking and you'd think longwood would be the same, and with Muir at avenel and Mahoney at tally being in their first years at the their clubs, would suggest they'd get a second year.

Its Tim Muirs second year and he told the club a few weeks back he isn't doing it next year

I thought VT were looking for a new coach..?

Haven't seen much KDL this year & had a kick against the gum yesterday who were clearly too slick for us. They've done well to finish 2nd & have given themselves a good shot at it. Pell was impressive, his 3rd term, in particular, was very good. Then they had the luxury of Sali on a wing.. Launched a couple from 60m on the left peg which will be an asset in the coming weeks.

Stiff for Stanhope, if I read it correctly they'll have to beat lancy at lancy, then the winner of nagambie v VT (which will be a cracker), then the loser of merrigum v murch, just to make it...? If they win it they'd have earned it! Given that, you'd think the likely winner will come from the top 2, bearing in mind murch had a couple of reports on the weekend.

Closest finals series in memory coming up, good luck to all teams competing.

Don't think anyone from march got reported but 2 VT players got reported after another incident made even more ridiculous. When the umpires stood around waiting for a melee to erupt instead of throwing the ball up and getting the game going.

From all reports after the game murch have already had the name engraved on the premiership trophy

On another note VT did not get a senior footballer invited to the league medal count when perhaps the league could have got themselves some publicity by inviting the ex AFL players and even our sole vic country rep along for the night maybe get the club tv show up to shoot a bit of footage but .............

Piss weak

Wow Patty Horsburgh not invited?! I would have thought he'd be Pells only threat to the medal! Takes any guessing out of it IMO!!
Murch are very confident, probably deserve to be, but the gum will enjoy having the underdog tag. How's Hank feeling about Stanhope playing at Lancaster this Saturday?? STIFF!! My tips for the first week... Stanhope by 24pts and Nagambie to cause an upset by 1 point!

In fairness would any of those ex afl players even bother turning up to a country vote count? Very stiff on patty! Why they haven't invited any players from VT is strange, it must be a mistake. I would think they'd invite all the favorites from each team or at least the middle ladder to top teams. Does that mean that pell would be a shoe in? Murch or Stanhope would have some blokes in contention. Will be interesting to see who wins.

Funny you say that. One of our netballers wasn't "invited" by the league to the count, only to find out on Saturday by the league at the final game that she was required to be there. Clearly some people have been missed!

My understanding is, no Senior Footballer from Stanhope has been invited to the count, not sure about Murch?

Not if they don't get invited -

Why do they have to get invited? They are part of the league so I am sure all players, supporters and volunteers are very welcome to attend!!
As for Patty, all league representative should get 'special' invitations, let alone if you have represented the league at state level, not that that has ever happened in previous years.

Very true Mr. Hank. But everyone is very welcome to attend, they just need to show interest to the club official organising numbers for the club's table(s). Maybe a bigger venue to accommodate everyone?

We always have something that could be done better or improved, at any level.

3 players from Gig invited with about 10 going to fill the table

That can't be right, surely this must be an oversight on behalf of the KDFL, but doesn't every club have to fill their quota of people on the night ? usually the clubs have to pay for two tables (or 12 people, whatever the league allots per club) out of their affiliation fees, that's how most leagues do it, if that's the case then it's up to the clubs to make sure that their most likely medal winner is present on the night.

Would Parsons be invited to the count ?, he could potentially do a Gary Ablett (that's if he wins it this season for the Suns), and win the League Best & Fairest for a side that finished out of the finals (didn't Snelson win a League B&F for gig a few years ago ?), which in any case is a damn big achievement.

As far as coaching goes, Ardmona will be looking for a new coach in 2014 after they and Gavin Gledhill parted company (which is a bit unfortunate for Gavin, because early on, I think he did some good for the club, even if the results over the past few weeks haven't showed it), and Undera will be looking for a new coach after Terry Mahoney decided not to apply for the Senior job for 2014.

Steve Reeves unsurprisingly has been re-appointed as coach for Murchison in 2014, after getting the hoppers to the Minor Premiership.

Troy won medal and gig won 5 games, Paul won club b&f easy, Shaun Makar pinched some votes from him in last 4 rounds ,Gig won 6 games ?
