Anyone at Longwood want to confirm the below about Linc Withers this is on the LVFL? looks like you may have lost your man before you even had him, maybe a sign on as well.

is this 100%? looks like its the 2nd vic club he has signed with this year, the other being Longwood in the KDFL

100% signed sealed delivered. Didn't sign with longwood. I'm hearing that the hill will name some more recruits very shortly with an emphasis on hard but midfielders and silky skilled runners.
Looks like it will be the same three at the pointy end again?
who's the hill

The Word that I'm getting is VT could be the big sliders this year, lost alot of quality players? Can anyone confirm or deny this? From what I'm hearing it is Stanhope then a big gap to Murchison, Merrigum & Co. Only early but Murchison & VT have both been right up there in premiership talk pre-xmas the past couple of years.
Wasn't this the word at the start of this year and was proven wrong so like the big Arab said premierships are never won in December. Lancy have shown some recruits now, how has Stanhope been fairing would many be staying from this year just gone. Have lost a couple. Merrigum would be the big movers for recruits so far.

I'm pretty certain he has signed with Pyramid Hills, he is good friends with Balraj Singh who has signed on there again and they apparently were keen on having a year together.

Great draw, fair to all I think..

Yeah I thought it looked pretty even.... It will be interesting to see what someone from the reigning premiers think about the positioning of their 2 byes? I wouldn't be real keen on them, but they may say it's good? & just a bummer that there are games over Easter weekend this year, could be a few short teams & upsets that round....

It was offered to all clubs at the AGM that if they didn't want to play on the Easter weekend then they had the option of playing rd3 on the last Saturday of March (weekend prior to rd1) providing the opposition team agreed. Smart way to go one would think. As for the bye, on the first proposed draw VT had a bye rd4 then had week off due league game after rd 7 then had another bye rd8. After rd8 we had no weeks off for the rest of the year. Hence we love the new draw...

Yeah I've heard of a few games in the pipeline to be moved from the nominated Rd3 to the last Sat in March? Also maybe 1 or 2 under lights? But yeah I'm guessing you would be happy with the new changes? Especially if you's get your Rd3 game moved, you's would play 1(Rd3 moved forward to March 29), week off (Actual season start, Rd1 bye), play 1 (Rd2), week off (Rd3 game moved due to easter) so could be an intersting start for you's also.... But still interested to see what Murch's thoughts are on their byes?

Ah okay, I thought it had been published in the Shepp News or something.
Nah mate, I think it was only just approved & released the other night at the league meeting? So at this stage I think the only way you can see it is if your committee shows you, that is untill they put it on the sporting pulse website?? Or unless Hank1 wants to publish it?? :p (sorry Hank, little cheap 1 there.... :D :thumbsu:)

There is always a side with two byes in a row. This year I believe, it will be us and Merrigum. The other point is that IF we finish top 2 we will have another two byes at the end of the season. Swings and roundabouts... 2013 had us playing in 3 perfect 6 week blocks.

Yeah that was more my point, obviously someone has to have a bye before & after the interleague weekend which correct is both Murch & Merrigum, but more was my question aiming at your 2nd point the bye in the last round as yes if you finish top 2 that means you will have 2 sets of 2 byes during the year? I'm not sure how keen I would be to have 2 weeks off heading into finals if my club was injury free & in good form?

Bit ambitious to declare that Murchison will be top 2 again, but we will take a top 2 spot if we earn it and the double byes and hopefully make it work in our favour.
