What about letting the club umpires do the Thirds and registered umpires the Seconds and Seniors? I'm not sure that the Senior coach would want a player risking injury or fatigue doing such a job. As for players learning the rules, it's a fair call but have seen umpires in GV Seniors make basic blues as well; ball being kicked in by a player who played on and it goes over the boundary untouched being an example. Regardless, games being called short of full time doesn't auger well for the competition and certainly puts a dent in any arguments for raising the age group to 18.5 or 19.
 
Possible finals for undera looming and their big utility Matty boyle goes nuts again!! and gets reported for head butting He has just returned
from suspension for abusing an umpire If found guilty I doubt weather he will play for undera again let alone finals

Ahh well there goes another late night in the office designing my latest high rise in town.. Just caught up with this news on Boyle I did hear some heads around the club are pretty feed up with him all that seems to come out of his mouth is that he's Guna smash this bloke then smash the next bloke which is a shame cause he can probably play the game but these hot headed guys just never produce there best..

Well were getting near to the business end of the season. With 3 games to go there is a couple of very interesting contests that could shape the positions in the top 6. First of all with the top 3 on same points and all going well and there is no upsets ( which I think will happen ) they should realistically finish all on the same points.. With nagaz playing violet town, avenel, longwood.. Stanhope play tally, rushy, Ardy. And the gum play gig, Ardy, lancy I think.. My personal opinion which is worth stuff all.. The gum on top then will come down to the last game of the year when nagaz play longwood which u would think they will win by at least 150.. That will put them into the top 2 by sweet stuff all.. And Stanhope for 2 years in a row finish 3rd with the same points as 1st.. But hope I'm wrong as I have known to be.. And for the last spot in the finals it will also come down to the last game when arch rivals lancy and the gum do battle.. I hope lancy do a number on the gum and win to help us out :) ( u be happy with that smoothy and willing to cough me slab up if it helps our boys get top 2 :) ) but think the gum have to much firepower for the bats to stop.. Any thoughts fellas

As a Violet Town footballer it would be disappointing to lose a player of the calibre of Sam Poole but fingers crossed he stay at the club because he's a ripping bloke off the field as well. Would be fantastic if the club could lure back players to the club like Dale Saddington & Jay Pearson.
 
Top 2 done and dusted now, or could there be another twist with the two derbys in the last two rounds? Could Avenel upset Nagambie, or Lancy roll Merrigum in the last round!

Can't see Lanclustre getting over the Gum also, given the draw, can't see them making it as Undera have Ardmona and Girgarre. Still, at least it creates interest at the bottom end of the six. The top three won't change but what will Stanhope's form be like heading into an elimination final? Big match this week against the sworn enemy.

Mmm could be a very depleted list at that..anyone want to come out of retirement and help the 2s out.. :)
 
At jaxbac! I watched the game yesterday and you seem to have a few handy young players like Jennings who dominated Rattray all day until injury, young Sutherland who was impressive! And Peter Mckay is definitely a talent Iv heard that violet town wanna have a crack at the flag again next year surely your side must build from those sorta younger players?

I must say we have a great amount of young talent running around at our club atm and Sean Horsburgh has been awesome getting game time into these young guys. Ryan Jennings is 18, Peter McKay 18, Ryan Sutherland 17, Clayton Sessions 20 and Sam Poole 21 will be the guys we will structure our club around next year. Future looks bright for us if we can retain them all..

It did say 10 in the paper today, but from what I can gather at least a couple of them are gone for the season. Might be one that hasn't played a game yet that might suit up this weekend though!

Yeah bt 10 and 5 out for the season.. And yeah hopefully we get the bloke that hasn't played yet to put the boots on for the last couple.. Would be more than handy for us..
