Tell me how this happens - you have a senior team sitting 3-4th on ladder but yet can't field a reserves side against Tally tomorrow?? Have been struggling all year for reserves - "what's wrong I say".
Yeah there in a bit of trouble don't be suprised if there's a upset in the 1s either.. I think there will be a lot of close games with the weather and grounds getting a bit boggy.. And yeah nagambie 2s have struggled all year we gave them 3 players so we could get a game.. Don't think they can win a flag in the 1s with know depth at all..

FS we're really disappointed the club was unable to field a reserves side toda & that we couldn't give Tally a game. Believe me when I tell you is wasn't through lack of trying.
To answer your question "how does it happen?" Unfortunately each week we only have 10-12 regular reserves players. I assume we're in similar position to some other clubs in that we really struggle for reserves numbers. Today we had 7 senior players out so this put a fair dint in the reserves squad.
Morning fellas, was unable to get to a game yesterday, was surprised with a few of the results. Looking at the scores it looks as though most games were played in wet conditions. Has anyone have any news to report? Injuries etc etc. Who were the biggest winners & losers from the round?
Bit like the Ess V Melb game.... More inside 50's, more scoring shots, controlled the game but the opposition had a higher score & won!! That's footy, the Towners deserved to win as did Melbourne.... Back to the drawing board to see if we can paint a picture & rectify our season....
Evening Smooth Mover, what was the feeling like in the rooms after the game? And the thoughts from the coaching staff? From what I hear, VT were more determined & hungrier than the Wombats which must be disappointing from your perspective considering the mid year inclusions into the team, prospects of playing finals and the bad loss to Stanhope the week before. I went and watched Murch on the weekend I think they are flag favourites so nothing is in the bag!
Perhaps you a I went to different games SM, according to our stats man we accounted for you guys in the inside 50's and as far as controlling the game, well other way around one would have thought.. We led for nearly the whole game with our young guys stepping up and your blokes looking abit old and slow..How do you think the gun recruits performed??Bit like the Ess V Melb game.... Not a bad day at the office one would think. Mind you 2 of riggas kicks also went out on the full, he should have taken a leaf out of his young blokes book and wore a VT shirt..
Well I guess we'll let Vars do the talking on the footy field.... 1st game of footy for the year 2day & he looked like he hasn't missed a game! Couple more runs in the legs & some of the previous statements could be around the mark.... Both Vars & Riggas were great addition to the side 2day....

Hey SM, add 2 zero's to that $18 and you still wouldn't put a buck on it would ya..Hahaha Yeah I agree, I think their recruits are mostly past it & nothing special but I'm going on the logic that they made finals last year & I think VT will drop below them so effectively 2 teams outside the Top 6 have to push them out which I would say would be between Avenel, Rushy & Gig.... But still back Lanky in for a finals spot....
Ps yeah $18 are good odd's but think they're still abit off Murch....

Well then I guess if you's had more inside 50's but "LESS" scoring shot's I'd say that our backline must have stood up pretty well considering 3 of your teams goals where long bombs from outside 50 that skided through (2 were flukes from the boundary too
).... But look at the end of the day it don't matter sh*t what I've got to say, as I said yesterday you's guys won & deservedly so.... I'll guarantee everyone on here 1 thing from me & that is I'll say it how I see it, I don't pull any punches so if you want my honest opinion you'll get it....So who were our old & slow blokes? Also I think you should pass on a message to little old 'Bowser" & tell him to be a man & play the footy & stop calling everyone else "weak c**ts" after he runs in a cheap shots them! Absolutely piss poor & gutless if you ask me!! Anyone can hit people from behind but it takes a REAL man to put his head over the footy....
As for Riggas I believe you have his phone number, if you have an issue or anything to say to him or Vars about their performances I suggest you give them a call & tell them what you think? I'm not a secretary!
But anyway yes, absolutely we have alot of work to do if we want to play any such part at all in finals & it will be interesting to see how our boys respond....

Now for Bowser, Almost 300 games under his belt and still getting the hard ball unlike some very loose sheepdogs in your backline (who we won't mention)that don't man up and run around like individuals. Like I said on an earlier thread I couldn't make any games on the weekend but a mate of mine was at Lancy as a club sponsor and told me he was very disappointed in what he saw, saying VT were harder at the contest all day. Hopefully for you SM they can bounce back this weekend.
