Hey Hop, nah mate we've learnt after a couple of poor performances a few weeks ago that now we are just concentrating on putting in a respectable performance for the footy club, supporters & town each week.... If that ends up getting us a spot in the finals at the end of the year well even better!
I thought his performance yesti was worth every cent of the Gate entry fee & a pie & coke after the game that we paid him? Owell we might have to scrap the pie next week??

Whilst I'm not a fan of the Final Six (in any form) it certainly allows this season to have some interest. Under the old system Avenel would effectively have two games in hand with percentage and points and, therefore, little chance of a change. Should the KDFL look for another team and move to a Final Eight?

But looking at the last 6 rounds Avenel is a game clear of Lancy & Undera but they play 3 teams above them. Lancy & Undera have 2 each. Unless they can win one of those it might come down to the last round & percentage.
Must say I was a little surprised with the Murch v Lancy result on the weekend. Anyone got a wrap on the game?

Final 8 would be rubbish. I think once you have half the league playing finals you cheapen finals for everyone. Looking at the current ladder; Tallygaroopna would make a final 8 with half as many wins as losses.
