I do believe my alcohol consumption is a tad above normal, but I do draw the line on the other shit.

You must have forgotten that gem or failed to read the rest of Jayco's comment and then look at the calendar. I have said it before, the game is on the nose but it should not be so, however, years of media plugging negative incidents and the AFL's ambivalence has cut the guts out of a sport that gives the most participants a chance to get a touch and get on the scoreboard compared to any other. It's only round four and goodness knows it may all fall over, but as it stand Rushworth has put up two teams on the back of destructive gossip in little more than eight weeks. Some have come and go but the numbers are improving and there are players in the Seniors who would be walk up starts in any KDFL team. To be honest, with all of the rubbish that the Club has copped through rumour and innuendo resulting in a loss of players along with the swapping of the first round due to Mother Nature, I wonder how many other committees would have stuck it out and bothered. You carried on like a two bob watch when VT choked in 2011 and haven't improved since.

I agree that the rushy footy and netball club has done a sensational job fielding 2 senior footy teams thus far as well as fight off external criticism!
There is a power of work put into running a club at the best of times and shows great character in those involved to fight as hard as they are with their backs to the wall!!
Local footy/netball clubs mean a lot more to small towns/communities than just running around on a Saturday arvo in the winter! Winning or Losing games is irrelevant in the big picture!
I wish them all the best and will definitely be buying raffle tickets and a few beers over the bar down iron bark stadium later in the year and encourage others to do the same instead of taking pot shots at them!

You may think that donthesash. But what happened last year when ardmona were not winning games? The opposition never did a thing to provoke a scuffle. This year winning games currently sitting top of the table and people don't like it so they go for the players that they know will retaliate or the hot heads and look what happens. Respect takes years to build, moments to loose.

Lanky did it way to easy. There was nothing firing in the cats engine this week.

Stanhope served it right up to Nagambie there big ruckman is very hard to get around in the ruck probably one the clearance in the end matt forys is a gun straightens them up they will push the top sides nagambie butchered the footy all day going forward but still got away with a win a few to come back through the 2nds next week so things are starting to get tough for a spot in the side
 
Great to see Violet Town planning on returning to their colours from decades ago. Similar to GV jumper with VT on the front. Great move in my opinion.

Would love Tally to go back to Green and Red also!

Oh Wow! If Lancaster do not win the flag now they have massively under achieved.

The rest of the comp can now push forward as the underdogs.

I do hope that someone at Lanky has thought about 2016 and beyond.
