Seems every new recruit mentioned in this thread is a so called "gun". I want to know, where are all these super players coming from and why did they wait till the 2008 season to flock to the kdfl..?

Well mate if you opened your eyes and read the comment i never called him a gun, i said he will be a stand out in our squad.

I also explained that he is from Tongala in the MFL. One of the reasons he is playing with us is because he used to live here in Stanhope, and because he is freinds with our coach.

Just thought i would add Stanhope have just signed up anouther new recruit. Joss Gentle from Tongala in the Murray League, very handy player and is a very very solid kid. Will not just be anouther member of the squad he will be a stand out this season.

Only Damien Scarcella yet to sign on for the year with the mainland lions.

Milky has J.Gentle played for you boys before on permit?

It wasn't a comment directed at you. It is just something i have noticed since coming to this site.

If you open your eyes and read other posts you will see what i'm saying.

In other comments yes,i aggree with you entirely. This thread is starttng to get a little stupid. with silly topics.

just aslong as it wasnt directed at me mate, for i was just adding my say.

i wouldnt exactly call them guns they are just some more players. people may be expecting way to much out of them but all together in with the udera boys they should be a competative side and one to look out for. but one ex rushy boy by the name of marty forde should do quite well hes is a hard nut and one strong fella.

I agree coffie beans, these Rushy boys going to Undera are getting talked up way to much, no doubt they will be very handy to Undera and will give them a good shot at the flag but i also think that 3 players cant win a game, who else ill be stand outs in thi team?. Do you know who else has been recruited for the Under team this yr?

i have to disagree with this statment. Last year, he played a thirds game against us and i was assigned after the first quarter to tag him due to his large impact on the game. he floated around the wings and half forward but, he read the play to perfection and half the time sent the ball straight back in. he was a difficult player to difuse. he is constantly pushing to the perfect position and is always under the packs feeding the ball out. This was also evident in the interleague game against the PDFL U/17s. He was always under the pack feeding the ball out to the likes of rexmond issac. If he were to play thirds this year all year, would win league medal clearly.

just my 2 cents
cheers.

Shaun Damon's head should of exploded by now how much does everyone want to talk him up? only played a handful of games for Rushy 3rds last year and came 3 in the league medal.....someone want to explain whats going on cause it isnt tallent thats got him that far....

Yeah i agree with u Tradward are all these "guns" just guns because they are better than the people talking them up, we will soon see how much of a "gun" all these names are once the season gets off to a start

How are Nagambie in the final already mate? They haven't even played there second game yet. Luke Austin is a very handy footballer and for his size doesn't mind getting in and getting it out either. Luke wilkshire is still running around and is looking more and more like his dad everyday:D

Luke Austin is nothing special, i can tell u that from the handful of games i have seen him play, does this kid want to get talked up much more because if he is nagga's best player than Rushy have nothing to fear when they come up against them in the night series in a weeks time.

So who does everyone think will win the night series? Nagga's does look good but need more fitness if they want to be a contender in the actual competition. Rushy dont look much like a team to me but there are a few individuals that might pull them across the line against nagga's if they decide to work as a team. Shepp East look strong going direct but can tend to play around with it a bit to much if they go wide, go direct and they are a shoe in. :thumbsu:

Yes he has, played probably 2-3 games in 2006 for us, he is a handy player. will be just some more depth for us.

Joss gentle= freak show. Should be playin for ky in the gv but he lost his balls under his bed i think

Undera has recruited a few of those 'mediocre' players that pop up every now and then and make handy contributions to the team.

Bleeper is correct in saying that 3 players cant win a game, but the lions have found some handy recruits to add to their competitive side of last year.

has anyone heard anything of late from the redlegs or wombats?

cheers

i agree. On the field he is a selfish player hes not exactly what i call a team player, alot of the times he burns his options at crusual times there is a few of these type of players ive noticed at rushy.

are many players this year going to be playing majority seniors than thirds? i know rushy will because of lack of numbers but are there any players that are just good enough to play in their senior side?

rushy seniors wont take many of the 3rds if they do they prob play 2 games which isnt good but thats the way it is i rekon every will stick together and play 3rds

last year few rushy boys would play 3rds then 2nds without a break so i doubt it will b a struggle for them to play 2 games with a break in between.

i've noticed this 2 ... wat players other than shaun have u noticed at rushy?

rushy have only just started training a few weeks bak and the game last sunday was the first time they had all been together, i thought it was a good effort to pull off the win against the so called "top 2" side stanhope. it may have took them a couple of quarters to start working as a team but they eventually got there. :thumbsu:

dennis wright and coffie beans are obviously c##kbags from rushy like terran felsbourg and and jason snelling etc. dont listen to there crap

I wouldnt go sayin to much about these players, i would watch out next time u come across them on the feild these are some tough cookies to crack.;) and from what i hear your not to liked around those parts:thumbsd:

yeah watching that game there was some good signs for both sides, with some good younger players for both. but rushy was struggling and needs to become a bit fitter to run out a match, more convincingly.
