this year is his last year of thirds. he played a few seniors games last year so he is very capable to play. he has the talent thats for sure but im not sure on his commitment. i think he is more into his cricket then his footy.

very true, ive been told by someone who knows him that he only plays at undera to be the stand out player,

BC kicked about 60 of his goals against murch n merrgigum

Exactly! He is a flat track bully. Can kick them against the bottom teams but when it comes to playing the bigger and better squads he is nowhere to be found. Not much of a great player in my eyes, or a leader for that matter. Was very lazy when we played them, must have known he wouldn't get a kick against the better sides so didn't bother! :D

i disagree i think B.C is a player to watch this year, i rate him. he has very silky skills and i believe that if he plays with the thirds side this year they will do quite well.

Stanhope: how do you think they will do this year? who are the players to look out for?

Stanhope should be very handy i believe. Havn't seen a great deal of the boys on the track or what sort of team they have. But judging by last years performance and the team they have left they still have a great bunch of kids running around. Should figure in september one would believe. Not too sure on the players to watch out for though. Robinson, Patten, Dearing, O'Rielly are a few i know. Not too sure about players coming in.

can taylor and either of the leocata boys play still?? player to watch is jye patten kids got talent

Yes John Taylor is still playing thirds footy, as with Jason Leocata. Yes i agree. The kid has plenty of ability. Will be handy for the club. Once he gets a bit more size he should dominate. Looks good even when training with the ones

She starts tonight fellas! Stanhope night series kicks off. Nagambie and Girgarre are getting us underway on the KDFL thirds side of things. Who are peoples tips to get up in this clash? What are the players to look out for? Obviously skills won't be perfect this early on but all the same it should be an interesting contest with plenty of onlookers

Yeah should be an interesting match. Both teams should be looking for big years. Nagambie were there abouts last year and Girgarre will be looking to improve on season 2007. Unfortunately cannot get across and watch the show so be sure to post the match result, along with best players, goal kickers etc

lions07 was wondering who are the most dominate 5-6 in the stanhope side? last season they had M.Stokes, Z.Dearing, B.Nexhip and R.Barker who are to old now,who will be stand outs now? How does N.West and R.Hansen go, i see Hansen got in the top 10 in league last year, i saw a couple of games were he was a hard worker, with a very good left foot? seemed a talent? i also watched West in 3-4 games and the kid looked very good, also a good left footer?

so what if he did? id like to see anyone else in the comp kick 20 goals each in 3 games. the boys a freak with a lethal left foot and still handy on his right.

alot of the 'lesser' players look up to him in big ways, he is considerd a major leader in the thirds. has huge talent and will again go a long way this year. and despite what some may think, he plays full forward because he is commited to playing thirds and senior footy. if he only plays thirds, hell be in the guts for at least half a game. he feeds the forward line well and backs it up with some good second efforts.

has anyone got a result on that first night series game?

cheers.

scores n best players would b nice

nagambie won by around 100 points, best player for nagambie were jack williams, luke austin and josh sanderson.

gig will struggle from what i saw they didnt have a footballer among them, they had a few ky U/16's players play for them and they would have been def in there best, nathan wells was pretty much the only gig player who touched the ball more than once but when he did he did nothing with it.

nagambie looked a alright outfit though....

Is jack williams playin the whole year for them?

well look out for B.Stokes this year...

B. Groves i think ya spell it.. watch out for him if he plays this year for stanhope.. about 195 cm, big unit this kid.. can play anywhere.. mainly used as a big forward.. kicked 150 goals for his old club in 2006

Ok now we know the Stanhope thirds are talking out there rear ends! Ben CANNOT play football. The kid isn't that tall, did not play footy at all in the past two seasons and will not be playing again this year for Stanhope. If your going to come on here atleast know the facts first ay? Instead of talking out your rear end. Cheers!

Yes Hansen and West are both good players. Havn't seen a great deal of them but can both play. Top players for Stanhope would include West, Hansen, Robinson, Dearing, O'Reilly, Taylor, Leocata and the Patten boys. Will be interesting to see how far they go this year after coming so close last year

Where is Comi and Muir Milkman? Both played good games. Comi's run and carry from the back half of the ground was excellent and i hate to say this but Muir also had a pretty good game, got plenty of the ball in close and sent it inside 50 a fair bit

yes stanhope ive been asking around about them and most people are giving me the same names for who may perform this year. but going on past experience some of these names dont seem to me as stand out ive watched hanson, patten and west many times. hanson does not have the greatest skills in my opinion he is very scared on the feild afraid to put his head over it to worried about the opposition. patten has potential he can be quick when he wants to, but he just seems to me as a sheep dog were hes to doesnt like to get in on a pack play the hard ball. west doesnt seem to be that bad he got nice skills not the best ever but they still quit good i believe he can do something with it this year but we can only just wait. wat is this talk about Ben Groves i hear the thrids boys are talking this guy up wats he really like?
