Welcome to the mickey mouse games that no-one else wanted or cares about

If it didn't cost me any money as a taxpayer then I'd worry but even worse, they want to 'update' the MCG even though only the opening ceremony will be there. We runa risk of losing the GF to sydney which is a significant sporting event, unlike the Mickey Mouse games.

Don't get me wrong, it will be a great party and we can ask every visitor we see if "we are graet palce and do spoerting events well but a significant sporting event? Forget it

The Commonwealth Games are a total waste of time.

I predict the 2006 Games will be so poor and so dominated by Australia that one of two things will happen :

- They won't go on with the games at all

or

- Australia will not be invited to participate (gives everyone else at least a fighting chance)
