Universal Love Keith Thomas

Since the bye we have lost to Hawks by 3 pts, Freo 9 pts, Adelaide 3, WCE 2 pts after being in front or level from 1st siren to the last but lost it after the final siren, Giants by 22 pts after being 9pts down early in the 4th quarter.

So KT isn't slashing his wrists like us, but has probably has banged his head against the wall a few times.

The board and management have given the coaches, fitness and medical staff and bloody players plenty of resources to succeed. They are close but not close enough. A bit of bad luck with injury hasn't helped in the Freo and WCE games and some key players missing but everyone gets them. Its how you handle them that's the key. There is an element of #marginalgains about it all.

A few idiot players have to learn to make good decisions when its tight. Hinkley has to learn to stop trusting the perennial failures under pressure who * things up.

There will be a shake up at season end. Some experienced players will feel the blow torch. Some of our coaches should and I hope they will. Our recruiting and list management guys should feel it too. Management and the board should actually assess some of the dopey selection and tactics of certain games and ask why the * did you do X? - but they wont.

The theme for 2019 should be - Triple Redundancy. We need to make list management decisions that allow for triple redundancy of our "football systems." We know we have failures so we now have to make sure they dont happen again or with the same issues time and again.

So when we get injuries to important players, we have a plan, we have a back up plan we have a back up plan for the back up plan if more happen.

When we get in tight spots and the game is going to be decided in the last 2 or 3 minutes, we have a plan, we have a back up plan we have a back up plan for the back up plan to make sure we don't * up and lose.

The current [poor] state of the club and supporters is purely on KT's head!

IMO he has now undone all the great fondations established in 2013-2016.

It should have never come to this. Again IMO, it will only get worse as key figures hold on to power to "celebrate" our 150th, bask in the milestone glory and then vacate to leave a bigger vacuum then post 2004.

Keith Thomas was on the list mgt committee that sanctioned the “Fremantle Deal”. A deal that will go down as our worst ever trade.

Well his mooted 12 off season wins are off to a good start. We're on about -4.

I thought it was 15?

I’ll take 12 if they actually have some substance unlike “Erin Phillips to be Captain if we get a team which we didn’t and now she’s leading our inbred cousins to victory.”

We have to give the club a bit of credit. (Bit being the operative word.)

Already they have:

Sent Ken and Voss overseas for training
Gotten rid of Lade Nicks and Greaves
Moved Voss out of the midfield.
Moved out some players ( sob)
Brought in some good ball users and ruck backup
Improved our draft position to bring in some talent
Brought in Schofield and Monty.

Yeah 15 it was.

How many wins have we got? It feels like we're starting the off season with -15 wins. I don't know about KT anymore. I'm fast feeling he's not the pillar of strength I thought he was and is he part of the reason we exhibit fragility on the field?

Keith Thomas brought back Chad Cornes, or at the very least he ticked it off. Should be sacked for that alone.
The one area it's clear KT is failing is in personnel. He's far too nice. He lacks the killer instinct.

He accepted the 2013-2017 period of 'keeping the band together' when we should have been ruthless when we were offered a 1st for Lobbe (*Sob*) and Hartlett and decent value for Pittard and O'Shea. He should have not extended Hinkley and had us turning over assistants more regularly as we missed finals more than made from 2015 onwards.

We need someone, who when faced with a situation like our end to 2014, doesn't go 'so close, all aboard for 2015', but 'We failed. Who wasn't up to scratch, they need to go'.

Yep

We rolled the dice in 2018 with a new game plan and paid more respect to the incoming guys of rockcliff, watts and Motlop.

Clearly some of the old guard in wingard and Polec cracked the shits that proven performance does not get valued as much as soft as butter and joe the goose types.

2019 was always going to be hard if 2018 didn’t go as planned. I would have preferred wingard and Polec stay and we traded out watts, Boak, Neade, Amon, Trengove, McKenzie types.

Give it two more years and we should be reset and contesting again.

Acentuate the positives, eliminate the negatives and don't mess with Mr in between.

That will be KT today. He's always like that when the FIXture is released and he has to discuss it with the media.
