Not up to it anymore, if he ever was.
Yes, how dare we hold a CEO accountable for his failings. Can't believe the comments I'm reading here about KT. some of you really need to pull your heads in
Yes, how dare we hold a CEO accountable for his failings.
There is some stuff being written about KT in this thread and other threads that goes beyond holding the CEO accountable.
Such as?
I'm not going to go trawl through threads and find any of the dozens of examples but just on the previous page he was called a "******* Norwood mole". KT deserves more respect than some people are giving him.
Yeah nah. If that the worst you’ve got you’re making a molehill out of a mole.I'm not going to go trawl through threads and find any of the dozens of examples but just on the previous page he was called a "******* Norwood mole". KT deserves more respect than some people are giving him.
KT has done some fantastic work over the years
Yeah nah. If that the worst you’ve got you’re making a molehill out of a mole.
I am with you on this. I am fed up with the administration and leaders of my club. From the Chairman, Board, CEO, through to the Head Coach and Captains, we have stumbled from debacle to debacle! I am quite happy to see a broom sweep through & get rid of the lot of them!I'm not saying it's that big a deal. If it were, I'd be deleting the offending posts. It's just my view that KT deserves more respect than to be called names, labelled a plant, etc. But others clearly disagree.
I'd also like to note once more that KT does not have the unilateral ability to sack Hinkley. The board is in total control of that decision.
TBF he just about called himself that in his e-mail to supporters, which we all thought was him falling on his sword but that he's since revealed was just a ploy to shelter Hinkley from scrutiny.I'm not going to go trawl through threads and find any of the dozens of examples but just on the previous page he was called a "******* Norwood mole". To analyse KT's time at Port, you almost have to draw a line at midnight the night of the 2017 Elimination Final. Before that, there were plenty of good things he did that will last the test of time.Has he though? Genuine question because I'm struggling to think of a single positive aspect to his legacy.
We've gone nowhere with BBTB, we're up to our ears in debt, China has stagnated, the playing group culture is totally toxic, the club leaks like a sieve, we still have a ******* Cornes in our ranks, and to top it all off we've just backed in the suckiest coach that ever sucked for his eighth straight year of utter mediocrity.
And that's not even mentioning the co-captains disaster!
The club is now rife with factions and tension, there's a total siege mentality, certain employees are blatantly using their contacts in the media to trash the fans, and the best KT can do is disappear off to China and then pop up blabbering nonsense on local radio.
It's not good enough.
I'm sure he's a nice bloke but ffs Port Adelaide isn't a charity. He's our CEO and is paid handsomely for his efforts, and as far as I can tell he's just flat out doing a terrible job of it. He's completely spineless and seems to exist to be Ken's little bitch. The fact that he even had a whinge about people calling him a Norwood flog shows he's nowhere near ruthless enough for the position he's in.
This was his last chance for redemption. He simply had to find a way to get rid of Hinkley. But like with everything else, when push came to shove he folded like a cheap suit and here we are.
Total failure. That will be his final legacy.
He called himself worse. Not sure I have read anything more then he is no longer capable of doing the job and that it is time to go, but may have missed it.I'm not going to go trawl through threads and find any of the dozens of examples but just on the previous page he was called a "******* Norwood mole". To be honest I did have to read that part of his email a few times, gave me chuckle. He called himself worse. Not sure I have read anything more then he is no longer capable of doing the job and that it is time to go, but may have missed it.
I find it hard to judge harshly when his job is to enact the will of the board. To analyse KT's time at Port, you almost have to draw a line at midnight the night of the 2017 Elimination Final. Before that, there were plenty of good things he did that will last the test of time.
After that night and deciding to throw his lot in with Hinkley, the cupboard is very bare.
KT has had plenty of freedom from the board as well as having to deal with Koch's ego.I find it hard to judge harshly when his job is to enact the will of the board.
Give us a decent board and then I'll judge Keith.

Even pre-2017 has had some gloss come off it recently. Signing a stadium deal with a 35k breakeven and so much downside risk doesn’t look great heading into a potentially lean 2020 season. That could cripple the club for a long long time.To analyse KT's time at Port, you almost have to draw a line at midnight the night of the 2017 Elimination Final.
