The BigFooty Port Adelaide (est. 1870) Board has a role to play in this - and at the moment, just quietly, is playing it well.
Wholeheartedly agree.
I've had conversations with business associates in Melbourne who dabble on BigFooty that comment on the quality of the Port board. The general consensus seems to be that Port supporters, more often than not, know their football.
Too right. JUST KICK IT!!!!!!!!

Bit of a bump but
Gotta say what a great man this bloke is. At the aftermatch function he said we could all go to Live at the Drive for free. We're so lucky to have someone like him at our club.
I hope Kochie makes KT have a few days off to get away from it all at some point in April. The poor guy must be beyond exhausted after what he's done to get Adelaide Oval off the ground and all. And he is so precious to us- one of our four pillars, so we need to look after him.
It's just not KT - so many of our staff - especially membership department staff - have been flat out since the Christmas/New years break and probably need a break.
Spoke to Matthew Richardson after the post match function formalities finished. I've been doing some stuff with him re Lockhart Road's Peter Chant project. He said call me, then paused and said not Monday - its going to be crazy after this result.

Asian market holds loads of power for Port’s future
RIVERS of gold flowing from Port Adelaide’s move to Adelaide Oval granted ‘survival’ but financial prosperity lies in the Far East says Port Adelaide chief executive Keith Thomas.
Port is plotting an eastern incursion stretching from Burnside to Hong Kong in a dramatic “redesign” of club business strategy.
AFL’s arrival at Adelaide Oval has changed the city’s sporting landscape and Port is quietly wooing the eastern suburbs establishment.
“A lot of our advertising has been in that space, we hope that is true,’’ Thomas said. “We have spent a lot of time talking to people in the eastern suburbs about Adelaide Oval. We will break that down and work out the uplift.”
Port Adelaide will gain a $3.9 million bounty through 30 per cent increase in match attendances, membership and corporate hospitality at Adelaide Oval. However “different thinking” is required to get ahead of the game - prompting Port’s watershed commercial push into China.
“We feel we have gone out of the survival phase and are now entering the growth phase,” said Thomas, with Port’s Asian push underlined by having its May board meeting in Hong Kong.
“We are ensuring Port Adelaide has a business model that can sustain it as a powerhouse of the AFL.
“Adelaide Oval enables you to survive but not necessarily be prosperous, really secure and we are actively thinking about that.”
Port has formally linked with the prestigious Hong Kong Football Club while president David Koch has organised meetings with Asian business leaders on next month’s visit to China.
“There are membership opportunities with the local Chinese community and commercial links through the central corridor with Chinese joint venture partners,” Thomas said.
“We have a reciprocal deal with the Hong Kong Football Club but Kochie has taken it a step forward with the guys he knows
