I dont have time to do that sorry, I'll take your word for it since you know everyone's opinion on a matter from 4 years ago.

Get a membership you scrub even the pointless 50 dollar ones or something get you the emails.
Hang on, you said if it was up to most people on here we would still gave Primus coaching. So do you know most peoples opinion from 4 years ago?
I for one know that even prior to the GWS game quite a number of us had expressed this could be the loss we need to make something happen. Primus out was part if that.

Shhh, if you lose an argument on the internet you are just meant to keep bullshitting until everyone forgets your original post.

Which is why, We shouldn't of fired Choco.

So if I post the contents of an email that was sent to me personally I can only post an extract and I have to also post a link to it in my inbox? o_O

Clearly different

So I've gone through the posting guidelines and reproduction of articles threads and see nothing about emails. My initial question was about an email as I had not seen the link on the website. What I actually posted was a copy of an entire email, not the content of the website. I don't mean to be nitpicky, and will endeavour to always follow the publishing rules, but what are the rules to do with emails?

How about this guys; If an email that is sent to you by Port is also an article on the club's website then don't post the entire thing. Not hard to understand. 'From the CEO' is always posted as an article on the website.
If I receive an email addressed to me then I am free to do what I like with the contents unless it is subject to a confidentiality disclaimer, which the "From the CEO" emails aren't.

That's fine in relation to the KT letters, but what is the actual rule/law? There are emails where there is clearly no expectation of privacy, no confidence breached (the Club 1870 function recently for example) that might be put on here. I'm with Wharfie on this one. I'll do what the site rules/mods tell me, but I don't understand why I can't post that email, or when it is OK to do so (which clearly it can be).

Content is the same. The email I received;

M8, the content may be the same but clearly the delivery is different. Links have to be provided to give credit to the person who wrote it and also lead to clicks for their website. Their are legal reasons for doing this, as quoting an entire body of work without referencing is quite literally plagiarism.

Websites rely on clicks, revenue and ads. Not providing a link is akin to pirating something. If it comes via email and the entire contents are in the email, that's a different story given it wasn't published to the website. However the minute something is published to the website you (could be imo, but I reckon it may be a rule too) need to provide the link. It's courteous, and especially important for the club because we get sponsor dollars based on exposure (i.e visits to the webby).

TL;DR - KT's email is also posted to the website and is therefore an easily referenced resource, website takes precedence over email and should therefore be referenced so that the club gains clicks/views. Just do the right thing by the club, and also negate any risk of big footy receiving complaints from the media for not linking articles.

We have got a lot right in KT's reign, but core business (football) is deplorable.

If someone said you could bring together as much as talent as we have on our list under a world renowned fitness coach and be as be as bad as we are, no one would believe it possible. A feat beyond the capacity of any club.

Time for KT to fix it.
I really really worry about the long term deals we have done at high prices..........not good management. Someone is responsible for example Hamstring Hartlett getting a 5 year deal until 31!!!!

I'm just trying to figure out why there has been zero response to something that has affected the team since last year. You're all saying it can't be - fine, it's not. Then what is it? If this entire board can see that we are setting up wrong and that we shouldn't be placing players in positions to win taps that aren't going to happen, why are they still doing it? And for so long? I'm looking for answers - I came up with one no one likes, but the point is to find the cause rather than the symptom here.

Voss isn't Bassett, by the way. Completely different psychological make up. Remember, Voss is the guy who still wears a number 3 necklace. That tells you a lot about his profile and what defines him as a person.

Oh, and here's no fine line. I'm just an idiot who occasionally has lucid moments. :p
Oh my a 40 year old wearing a number 3 neck lace.........oh my.

KT backed in Rohde big time and once he took duties away from him that had he been loaded up with, because we had no $$$ to employ any help, Rohde flourished. His 30 odd years in the game was valued highly by KT as he had plenty of experience of the ups and downs of the caper. Chris Davies is still somewhat in work experience mode, he wouldn't have experienced a down turn like this before. KT also backed in Richo big time when he appointed him as coaching director as he knew he was getting a strategist as well as an administrator. Plus we were getting effectively 1.5 coaches output out of Richo as he had the family back in Melbourne, with his daughter finishing off year 12, so the workaholic he is he just spent his "spare time" working on footy. Hart isn't the strategist Richo was but is more the administrator type.

KT is missing 2 very important battlefield generals to assist him.
The contracts post Rohde are worrying.........long and big!

Possibly a consequence of free agency. It is always a gamble when you sign someone to long term contracts.

If it was up to the people on here, Primus would still be coaching and we'd still be rebuilding the list waiting for our chance to start aiming towards the top 8.
I hope the decision makers at the club can make the hard decision and drop, delist, trade, fire players/coaches who aren't performing.

If it was up to many people on here Jasper and no doubt others would have been given the arse years ago also. Short term memory loss is by no means limited to one individual.

KT the same. The hysteria displayed when he was hired was ridiculous, once again. Had people looked into him as a professional and a person rather then the old SANFL stooge aspect, perhaps some sense would have prevailed.
