Bloody awful if he is the only one who takes the heat and admits he is the sole cause of the failure while Kochie swans around unscathed. He really is a decent bloke, and not an egotist like his Chairman appears to be.
I have spoken to Keith several times and found him great to talk to about football, and general Port stuff, has never brushed me off, or made an excuse to.
Was hoping he would be at Noarlunga, but did not see him there.

KT is doing a good job overall. I have no problem with him staying. Also, I can’t understand why Port supporters would not like Koch, because I believe he saved us and we would probably have folded by now without him.
At least Koch is a port man inside and out not just a job for him.

Gerard Whateley on AFL 360 tonight saying he is sure Hinkley will be coach next year, I am not so sure I think if he gets an offer elsewhere we will come to some sort of agreement and let him go.

The letter was just spin. Why even wrote that letter and say "stay tuned"? If you have nothing to say, don't say anything.

I realise his hands may be tied with Hinkleys contract but if he were serious he would have said something like "as sign of good faith and to show you we are listening, Travis Boak will wear the #1 guernsey for the rest of the season and be sole captain. Stay tuned for selections this Thursday as we look to fix our fwd structure"

Instead, we know Sutcliffe will play the season out, our fwd line will keep stinking it up, Hinkley will coach PAFC in 2020 and Monty and Schoey will be gone.

But hey, they might give us another t shirt

Yeah, when I think of Forest High School on Sydney's leafy Northern Beaches my head is immediately filled with the deeds of Port Adelaide legends of yore.

KT taking the heat off the coach as well as publicly aknowleding he appointed Ken so they are tied at the hip, is my take.

Yeah - I see a CEO providing air cover for an under siege coach. Pretty decent thing for a CEO to do.

My take on KT's email is that it is so brazenly honest it has to be respected that he's gone and put his balls on the line the way he has. That said, it feels like he's trying to take the heat to provide cover for others. I'm not sure how much blame I would attribute to the CEO for the football department going with co-captains for example. KT does share blame for extending Ken's contract but so does the rest of the board along with Koch. I'll forgive him for the young team nonsense for now, we all know it's a weak excuse, points for trying though.

He's making the right noises so hopefully we'll see some tangible, Port Adelaide flavoured outcomes moving forward. It does feel good to be heard.

I feel KT will sacrifice his poition at the club to save a very stubborn man.

Safe under all circumstances??

Hinkley and/or his manager talking to Morris.
That's the obvious one to me, fully agree with you REH. Ken and his manager have leaked this, we wouldn't have nor anyone on the board, serves no purpose to us or anyone mentioned in the article.

I can't help but think this whole thing with KT, Koch and Ken is getting ugly and will get uglier now. Seems that it has all bubbled away long enough and here we go with whatever comes next.

I genuinely like KT, I also 100% believe everyone is doing their best to make Port Adelaide as good as it possibly can be. Unfortunately a bad decision by the whole leadership at the club was made to extend the head coaches contract a few years back putting us between a rock and a hard place financially once it became clear that the coach is cooked.

Staff say he keeps himself locked away in his office and they don’t see or hear from him, poor guy is feeling the heat.
Tough times
This has been his style for a long time.

When he locks himself away, his exec assistant moves a whyteboard across in front of her desk and hides behind it, too.

With the way the club has drip fed information out to soften supporters up for bad news, ie Wingard, I can't help but feel sources saying Ken is safe is exactly that.

We know yous don't like it but he'll be here for another season so get used to it.
