KT looks refreshed and animated tonight. Chatting with supporters right to closing.

Spent the day with KT in suite one. He was looking much more optimistic and with it.

Spent a bit of time with Koch and Wanganeen. Even Vanstone was there.

One interesting convo I observed was between Koch and Freo Prez. Very animated but Koch never unfolded his arms. Looked super defensive.

They are after one of our coaches?
Oh and did Amanda call it a spunky win? 😳

Terrible sponsorship deals.
Terrible financials despite high attendance and membership figures.
Terrible contract decisions.
Terrible new staff at the club (shop and media).
Terrible co-captaincy decisions.
Terrible leaks and comments about the PB's.

Terrible CEO.

'gOOD BLOKE, BUT EH!'.

Port Power CEO Keith Thomas has put an end to speculation that he will step down as boss of the club.

Mr Thomas confirmed today that he will continue as CEO next year, while backing head coach Ken Hinkley to see out his contract, which runs out in 2021.

In July, Mr Thomas told fans in an open letter that he is to blame for their on-field woes.

Speaking to ABC Radio Adelaide today, he said all he was trying to do was shift the conversation away from Hinkley.

"At that point, it was very full-on and very one-dimensional," he said.

He also provided clarity over reports that players were asked to roll over part of their salaries, saying it is normal practice.

"Every club in the land is front-ending contracts, back-ending contracts, moving things around," he said.

"We are in a fixed cost industry … it's normal practice, there's no connection to those practices and our financial positon."

He sounded cooked. Sounded like he belonged in a retirement home tbh. Frighteningly babbling.

He's sounded like that for years. I can't stand listening to him. The stammering, the over thinking every.... bloody.....word. The deliberately obtuse answers. It's all bullshit and comes off as disingenuous. He's not up to it. As you said he looks cooked and he should leave ASAP both for the sake of the club and also his own health.

If this was the case, why did it take until this morning to make that statement?

Thomas believed it wasn’t a failed season.

“We thought that we could just sneak into the finals. As we got into the season and we started to see signs of our best footy, we thought if we could just sneak in, we could be a bit dangerous, that’s why we are disappointed,” he explained.

We are deep in the mediocrity mire now.

'SNEAK IN'

The Bombers snuck in, the Dogs snuck in, the damn Lions finished 2nd, and the Giants remain incredibly poorly coached rabble and snuck in. We could've been better than all those clubs instead we see absolutely no change in results, regardless of some absolutely dominant statistical areas.

And why in the world is sneaking in our goal??? Our high watermark for success is to sneak into finals.

FFS.

We are becoming like the Detroit Tigers - Its a long hard season, but we got a 500 win-loss ratio.
