Ken Hinkley - Why Was He Ever Doubted ??

He could win the premiership and coach of the year, and Port supporters would still want him sacked.
He's won us what, two finals in the last 8 years, zero gf appearances, no silverware and has been here a decade. I'm sorry, at what point are us Port supporters meant to say enough already? 15 years of no GFs and failed prelims? We are cautious this year even after ten wins because we've been here before with him, September is all that matters this year.

They want him sacked because they know he wont win the premiership.
This year is as good as any if they get the pies in the GF.

Why draw the arbitrary line at 8 years? The record is 4-4 in finals over the last 9 years, a better finals winning ratio than all but maybe Hardwick and... Beveridge? during that time.

Hinkley is 5 wins and 5 losses in finals during his tenure. They've been competitive in every one of those finals too apart from the preliminary final against the Bulldogs.
Not sure what happened that night, did Port have gastro go through the club the week leading up to the game?

Hinkley is proving his doubters wrong again this year. It's good to see.

Carlton should look at signing Hinkley as coach if Port decide it's time to part ways with him this year.
He doesn't prove his doubters wrong unless and until he wins a flag. Nobody has ever said he's not a good H&A season coach.

His record in finals is 5 wins and 5 losses which isn't too bad, especially when Port have been competitive in every final apart from the preliminary final against the Bulldogs.

As usual Port supporters think their mediocre coach is dragging down their top 4 list, when it's actually the reverse.

Kenny Hinkley IS Port Power.
Josh Carr is coaching them now though. Ken Hinkley is just motivating the players from the bench.

It's mostly only opposition supporters that want Hinkley at Port, because he keeps Port out of Grand Finals. Get a successful premiership coach in with that list, Port would get at least a Grand Final appearance. Similar situation with Brisbane and Fagan, although Fagan is slightly more successful with his 4 in a row final appearances in 6 seasons, Hinkley's never had 3 finals as a coach in a row.

Josh Carr is coaching, Ken is a boundary line dancer who can't find a headset.

In which year did Port have a top 2 team? Particularly in what year did they have a premiership standard defence?
