The most tempting offer being prepared is that by Fremantle that wants McGregor and captain Matthew Pavlich to work a forward tandem for the Dockers. There is an ironic twist in this scenario considering Adelaide took McGregor rather than Pavlich in the 1998 national draft.

Someone wanna tell me where we are going to fit all of these forwards? Pavlich, Campbell, Murphy, Tarrant, McGregor??

If we are chasing him it better be worth nothing more than our PSD draft or in a deal involving Murphy. He isnt worth one of our draft picks.

He must be out of contact and his manager is trying for a better deal.

He is but has struggled for oppurtunities this season, has only played 9 games and wants out for more games.

Kenny is a great player and I would be happy to trade him 4 the Pav. But Kenny will soon be back in form when he gets over this injury:)

I wouldnt trade Pav's jockstrap for him.

Would rather Freo go after Fevola than Mcgregor

Imagine Fev, Tazza, Wizz and Dessie in the same forward line.

FWIW Fev would cost us a shitload while Kenny would cost little, not that i really want him though.

yeah... i mean... like we need another forward in the squad....

Whats the source?

I suppose if someone like McGregor was available PSD and he wanted to play for us thats a different story....

I do find it amusing, however, that there were some Adelaide fans who were saying Pav had "strong ties" to AFC when asked why he would choose AFC over Freo - where he's captain, where has spent his entire adult life and where he has a core group of close friends as well as team-mates... they said that, aside from the go-home factor, that he was "friends with Kenny McGregor", and he might quite like to play with his old mate from his teenage years...

So - might they play together here at Freo??? ;)

(Hope not... but it would be quite ironic...)

McGregor can play both ends so I assume if there is any truth in the article that we'd play him down back. I certainly don't want him though, we need midfielders and draft picks.

Good idea, lets trade our first round pick and a couple of young players for another forward with off field issues that we don't really need.

Thats not going to happen. McGregor is struggling to even get into the Crows side... no one would give a first round pick for him.

Edit: I just realized that you were talking about Fevola instead of McGregor

McGregor kicked 4 goals in a quarter today...

I seriously can't see it being true......

However, if McGregor is only being kept out of FB at the Crows because of Rutten being better - but Kenny is actually a really good FB, who would free up McPharlin to play that attacking CHB role he plays so bloody well, while at the same time allowing Dodd / Thornton / Grover / Johnson to not have to be locked into CHB (due to reasons of not being quick enough, or strong enough, or tall enough... or being better at creating rather than defending).... then fine. Would a 4th rounder get it done? ;)

Sounds good to me IP - where do I sign? :D

Seriously though, if we do go down this path, then I think we can write off any hope of a flag anytime soon. All we need to do is lop off the dead wood, hold onto our younguns and draft a few more. It's time for the big boys to accept a bit of responsibility and stand up in '08.

all the decent teams have gun midfields.

Freo doesn't..

I am no mathematician, but I am fairly certian I can put two and two together.

Well I am! and I say Freo needs undergo serious surgery to their midfield (Not that I am a surgeon :p).
