Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but I saw him dislocate his left shoulder in the practice match this morning against the RAMS 18's at the lakeside oval.
Did it in the second quarter and he looked in a world of pain until they got it back in.
He left the ground immediately and went straight to the changerooms.
Hope he isn't out for too long:(

I was at the game and saw it happen. It did go back in pretty easily and he didn't look to be in much discomfort as he left the ground.

I also heard (3rd hand information) afterwards that he wasn't too concerned by it.

I've written some comments on the game over at RWO if anyone is interested.

Your club must have the best medicos in Australia. A bloke loses a leg and only misses 2 weeks if he is a Swan. Im not being sarcastic either just envious

So he should be right for next weekend?

Who knows? He'd probably try and play if it was hanging out of its socket still.

I guess it depends on how likely it is to come out again and whether there's any damage to the ligaments / tendons or whatever it is that holds a shoulder together.

He landed on it quite heavily but no more so than he might reasonably expect to land on it in any game of footy.

Cresswell didn't need a medico, he just slapped the knee cap back into place and kept on running

It went back in quickly. He'll be fine:thumbsu: Try not to post threads that are going to cause a panic, unless you know the extent of the injury.
Didn't post to cause panic, I was standing 20 metres away from and it was not good. The extent was his shoulder and arm were not where they are suppose to be. As I said in thread opener I hope he is OK and back ASAP, don't want to see anyone get hurt at any time.

Swans websites says he just "jarred" his shoulder. What the?
Well I hope I never "Jar" any part of my body like that!!!!!!!!!!!
Only saying what I saw with my own eyes. I'm no doctor and the swans medical team are the best in the business.
I will repeat, I hope he is OK and playing next week.

our chief medical expert is daryn cresswell ... whenever we get an injury, he takes the player into a quiet room and simply smacks whatever it is back into place
although it hasn't worked as well recently coz he's a bit older, not as strong as he once was

Not AFL, he's a leaguie from South Sydney Rabbitohs. He dislocated his shoulder too, sounds kind of similar to what Tadhg did.
it's similar only if kennelly was held up in a tackle by two blokes, with his back exposed to a cheap, late hit from a third player coming in with his elbow up
the wing hit was nasty, and those cheap-shot rooster cowards tried it again 2-3 more times not long after

but back to the point: kennelly is fine, he, ablett and buchanan all expect to play round 1
and here's a tip: bird, jack, moore and barlow expected to be in the round 1 team

I'll be a very happy little camper if this comes true.
