why does everyone (except carlton people) seem to dislike kennedy so much. i have obviously read about a fair few deals involving him and judd, and most other clubs supporters just seem to bag him out straight away.

i guess i can understand WCE supporters, but although i dont really believe the latest rumour about the bulldaogs trading us their pick 5 for JK and 20, why would that be such a bad deal for them?

kennedy is still really young. has showed some good signs in a fairly weak team, was a no. 4 draft pick in a much stronger draft than this one, and will obviously grow into a tall skillfull forward. what the hell do they think they can get at no.5 for in this years draft that is going to be so much better.

i would love to have judd at the club, but i guess i dont see it as being the end all to our clubs rise back. i think kennedy is gonna be great, and if we let him go, then i reckon we could be sorry about that one day. give the kid time in a decent team and watch what happens

My guess is they have never seen him play and he's not a big name so they just assume he's a dud and isn't worth offering to WC.

My guess is they have seem him play, however unfortunately they've seen him played before he is truly ready to dominate at AFL level.

If Kennedy had had played 1-2 games in his two years at the club, had played them decently, had played in the two's and been allowed to improve his game at a lower level, i daresay supporters opinions may well be different.

Valid point - also with Judd being the player involved with the trade the collateral needs to be top shelf, this is the genuine feeling i get from other people. If we had offered picks 3, 20 and say Fev, Murph etc you wouldnt hear the same.

If we were offering JK for a player of a lesser ilk it wouldnt be as heated. Its just that a lot of people are pissed off that he may be coming to Carlton more than anything else and poor JK is coming a lot of this frustration and lot of these people wouldnt know him even if they were standing next to him.

I'm guessing you haven't been reading too many post about JK from carlton supporters.

I'd say, judging by BF there are about 40% of carlton supporters that think he's gonna be a gun, the other 60% believe he's a dud. That is until next year when he kicks a bag of 5 for West Coast and then everybody starts complaining becuase we traded him.

Trust me it will happen if we do trade him.

I'm in the 40% by the way.:thumbsu:

So am I:)

As much as i'd love to get Judd, i really hope we don't give up JK. KPP's always take a bit longer to develop than mids. What's JK ? 19 or 20 ? Sticks was still at Glenelg at that age.

JK's shown enough i reckon to justify plenty of optimism about what he'll do in time.

Crap. Most of them are just yet to be convinced. Major difference.

Those 60% are just impatient, because he's not arrived a quickly as Pavlich or Riewoldt or whoever did.

Not saying he'll necessarily be in their league (but imagine...), but he'll be a good quality AFL level player. He's very young, and playing a position that needs a hard, fit, mature body.

thats all i was saying.

i just couldnt believe that the doggie supporters thought they would get a player who was so much better than JK with their number 5 pick in this years draft.

In my opinion if i was a dogs man i would jump at JK and pick 20, for pick 5

Not gonna happen anyway so its a moot point, but i just thought their reactions were a bit funny

Is Craig Hutchinson ghostwriting for you... it's 'moot point'.

Hutchinson - being the hack that he is (and being a supposed journalist, he has no excuse) - made the same mistake.

As you were
