It certainly will. If somebody decides to throw their hand on the table and play for Kerr, it will get very interesting. If you guys throw Didak out there, I'd bet there would be a dozen interested teams (including us if we can get rid of these AFL sanctions, which the club is working on now).

TBH, I am neither here nor there about losing Kerr. If he goes, I wont be upset, as long as we get fair value. I'm more interested in getting Cousins back personally.

:)

WTF do we want McKinley for?

We don't need another key forward (let alone an undersized one) the only reason we're interested in Brown is because he's Brown.

Seems I'm the only one with the vision that McKinley would be ideal to free up Didak/Thomas to become the permanent midfielders that we need. Granted we need another inside type clearance player, keeping our first pick and drafting one, added with the opportunity of getting McKinley could prove the tonic to re-invigorate our midfield from within the talent at our club. These two, particularly Thomas need to make the transition into the midfield on a more permanent basis.

It's clear WCE will demand plenty for Kerr. Likewise Brisbane for Brown.

McKinley is not a KP forward (or an undersized one at that), rather a medium small- similar to Medhurst.

I just think McKinley would release Thomas and Didak to play further up the ground with cameo roles in the forward line. Plus the cost would be cheaper than say Kerr and we can go to the draft table to address our other needs too.

McKinley won't free up Didak/Thomas or even Medhurst. If someone gave McKinely to use I'd take him for free. But he's not someone I'd be hunting down. WCE rate him and won't give him up cheaply.

I don't think we need McKinley to push Thomas and Didak further up the ground. Didak had played more as a midfielder already this year (leading kick-getter) and Thomas will do that through natural progression of his body size and endurance. If we do need someone, I would give Macaffer the chance first and push Medhurst up to the flank. This reinvogarates the midfield from within our list without giving up what would probably be a 2nd round pick. We can then use that pick on another mid or a KP back which we need more than another medium forward.

Remember we also have Rusling that plays the same role as McKinley.
