Kerry O'Keeffe - Tool or Genius

I'm in the tool camp. This guy is a total tool. He is like Sam Kekovich, in that he's a wasted talent who tries to make up for it with opinionated commentary. And don't get me started on the laugh.

Absolute gun. What do you mean by wasted talent?? As a cricketer he got everything he possibly could out of the natural ability he had. As a commentator he is extremely entertaining and has a great knowledge of the game. Kerry O'Keefe is the main reason I tune into the ABC. BTW read his book, its a classic

Tool. He was alright sometimes on the Channel 7 coverage of the One Dayers, but every other time I've seen him he's been an absolute knob head. Only thing he's going for him is his laugh

Both. And he knows it. But he's also played some top class cricket with some of the best players ever, and he knows the game inside out.

That's what makes him such an interesting and humorous commentator.

As much as guys like Geoff Lawson annoys me Kerry OKeefe is the one person that i cannot stand listening to. The moment he comes on the radio you know the next 40 minutes are going to be full of irrelevant ramblings with the occasional attempt of him trying to sound like he knows what he's talking about. Just thinking about him is making me slam the keys harder than usual.
