Also I will ask this.... How close is Tarberner to getting his debut game? I read one of his recent games he got 25 disposals and 3 goals in one of his recent games for Peel thunder.

I reckon he has a couple of weeks to do it or he will miss out. Pav will be back soon and he won't be able to replace Hannath because I don't think he will be able to be a good backup ruck.

He might have a shot if he can really set the world on fire, Ross might let Dawson / Johnson backup ruck. But I reckon his chance will only come if we get another injury to a big man.

Also I haven't even thought about the effect a fit Sandilands would have on team selection.

It would be a strange move to upgrade Taberner and not give him a shot.Seems like the perfect time to throw him in .He is in reasonable form and Brisbane is short on key defenders

I really like the look of Jackson Paine from Collingwood if we're talking about poaching fringe players.
Admittedly haven't seen a hell of a lot of footage of him but is athletic, moves well for a 194cm 97kg forward and has a decent kicking action.

Problem is he's sitting first in line now with Dawes departure - not sure about his contract status

Anyone skimmed the Collingwood threads recently and heard his name mentioned ?

Yeah, well I did say he had a couple of weeks to get a shot. I think he would probably be as good if not better option than Silvagni but once Pav gets back he will have missed his chance imo.

But I don't think that because he has been upgraded he will definitely get a shot. I think Ross is too prudent a coach to be making changes that he doesn't have to in Rd 12.

I reckon we have the perfect last 4 rounds of the season to be resting a few players so he might get a shot there.

Who knows? I could be wrong and he could come in and be a permanent fixture.

Tabs is an off chance to debut this week given we know Pav is not playing and Brisbane are short handed. Silvagni possible injury cloud as well? North will be stronger opposition and maybe Pav back for that game.

Jesse White could well be delisted by the Swans, 6 years in the system and has not shown anything - would think we could easily do better and playing Tabs or even Hannath again next year would be that given they will have developed in that time. Swans will look to draft another KPF to bring up under Reid/Tippet and the ageing Goodes.

I'd be looking seriously at a deal for Gumby and Pears, a second and third rounder. Move Faulks on. Jesse too.

Then use our first pick on the best available tall.

There are vague and probably inaccurate rumours Bellchambers may want out of Essendon
If Clarke really does want to go back to Victoria, we could do worse than trying to swap Clarke and a pick/player for Bellchambers and Gumbleton.
I guess though the main reason TB wants out of Essendon is he is not guaranteed a game behind Ryder and co, and he'd be in the same boat here.

Well I reckon this week would be good chance to give Tarberner a game. Sandilands is still out, Big Griff and Kep are out of the season as well. If he doesn't get in I don't know how else he will at this rate. Im just not as comfortable relying on our medium sized forward line up of Ballantyne, mayne, crozier etc and Rotating Hannath and Clarke as our main targets up forward.

I dont want Michael Johnson and Dawson to be back up rucks, I want them to stay where they are both need to be relied upon and that is in the defensive 50. Yes, I know Johnson has scored some goals in the past.

you'd consider it if forced to I guess caterina ...but I'd say TB would be sought after by about 2/3rds of clubs - he'd be starting ruck at most.
I'm not sure he'd be behind Griffin coming off an ACL injury, so he'd be likely to work in tandem with Sandi ala Clarke.

I hate thinking about Clarke leaving though, I reckon he's just about to find regular form in ruck with some highlights to boot whilst resting forward.
TB is probably in a similar place but a year in front, been middle of the road for a while in the system but now showing his worth

I don't know enough to comment on those particular players, but we are pretty much at the point where we are desperate, right?
It will be nice if Keps comes back the same player, and/or if Flappy Tabs comes on as hoped, but if neither happens we have a big gap.
The good thing about trading for average at best players is you don't have to sell the farm to get them.

My thoughts exactly, Im glad you said this. As I said earlier I wouldn't mind taking a look at both of them. Its called list management and having depth on all parts of the field. Look its not like were thinking of trading our 1st or 2nd round pick for either for these guys. At least both would have had a few years under their belt and are not skinny 18 year old kids.

I reckon this season we might be forced to get one just for Depth reasons. Getting Hannath in the PSD this season turned out to be a master-stroke. Keep in mind, Key position players take a good 3-4 years to become fully developed, which is why I think Silvagni might be forced to stay another season.

I have a similar view with Clarke, potential is huge and probably greater than Bellchambers, I'm just suspicious that he wants to go home 'to give his mum a hug' as was said jokingly (?) about his plans in the bye week after the Adelaide game. If he goes we have to try and get some tall/s for him IMO, hence my hypothetical.
I guess the thing is, what club will trade with ASADAdon until they know 100% what the player penalties are and that the lawyers on either side are not going to appeal the findings? Imagine trading a player in and have him penalised.

If I had it my way, I would stay away from Essendon. We have given them enough decent picks and players in the past. I wouldn't touch any of their players, their coaches or their fans with a 10 foot pole, regardless of the ASADA problems....

I think as per most I would rather hang on to Zac. If however Clarke does insist on going and Essendon are keen I would try to work Zac to Essendon, TB to GWS who very much need a ruckam and a pick from GWS to us. The offloading of Gumby to us versus getting a pick in return from GWS would have to be thought about, as would sending a second player to GWS to upgrade that pick for the number 1 pick (Tom Boyd) - if GWS would entertain this. And then we ontrade THAT number 1 pick to Melbourne to get Boyd for Hogan.

Am I doing it right?:)

Saw some of Jesse White's highlights from last week.
Looked distinctly less crablike
Pretty impressive. He looks like hes dropped weight and picked up some pace
He puts a few of those together he's be worth a look
He looked like a jet. A monster physically and was huge playing his role.. As has been pointed out (i think by yourself) a glimpse of consistency would be nice

There's a 194cm 100kg 21 year old who won the same award as Andrew Krak did while serving time. He "got out" a month ago from a year and a half inside for assault.

He plays midfield. He'll be trying to play for East Freo next year.

Might be worth a look.

He would be worth a bit more if he plays in the 2013 grand final and the swans go back to back.

And tell every other club? I don't think so! I'd really like for a Fremantle official to watch a game of his, see if they like his attitude and smuggle him a reserves quarter in the WAFL so he can qualify for a rookie spot. If he is good enough.

For what it's worth, he wouldn't even have gone to jail if either law representative had called any of the dozen witnesses to testify.
