Crameri would be good but I think he has his heart set on the Bulldogs. Apparently has a great relationship with Brendan McCartney and would probably require a lot to convince him to move state.

The negotiations 'off the mark' is normal on the first day of the trade period. They will agree on something within the last two days.
I agree with you, but it wouldn't be the first time a player trade could not be organised and a third party came in who could match the trade demands to sign the player. Im not sure Crameri has the option of entering the Pre Sean Draft because he would end up at Melbourne who seem about two years behind the Bulldogs. If a deal can't be done then Crameri may have a choice between us and Melbourne (GWS will probably use their PSD pick on Mumford). Again, if we have a decent offer on the table I definitely think we have a chance. Michie and our first pick would get the deal done in my view (Bulldogs have reportedly offered pick 22)

Sherrif, Bond has repeatedly stated that our first pick is not negotiable.
Your reasoning on drafting Crameri is valid but giving up our first pick and a player on a 190 cm third tall doesnt make sense

I'm still failing to understand why Reid would want to come to Perth. If he is to leave Sydney, surely it would be back to a Melbourne based club?

I think Pods would be a great addition for a couple of seasons, which would allow us to bridge a gap while we continue to develop the next tier. Cheap insurance and by all accounts has been a great contributor to the Cats.

Reid should be the target, young and great talent. IF we somehow get him he can be molded either up forward or down back. Obviously we'd try him up forward first.
If they have gotten Reid to agree to come, then just send the Swans our first round pick, deal done.

The fact that he's contracted for another four years might be a problem.

Hard to imagine another KPP like Reid + Colin Sylvia both in the starting 22 line-up.

Just with Colin at the present a couple of current starting 22 players stand to find themselves out of the fringe.

My view is that the 190cm Crameri (same height as Darling)is super strong and could play key forward very well in our playing system. The bloke did kick three goals playing on Mcpharlin in that role. (remember the awesome running goal). In my view he has played his best for Essendon when they have played him deep as this position allows him can use his strength and speed. I think he will be able to play the key forward role, while at the same time adding to the fanatical forward pressure our team is famous for.

BTW I hope all is well with you Salim. Don't worry about the bloke taking pot shots at you, he is a deadset waste of space and has zero footy intelligence. Cheers

simple ... need a kpf. Can't give up engine room, difure it out from there.
1st Rounder should be available UNLESS we presume Marsh/Mcarthy will fall to our pick.
Hill CAN be traded, but we need to win the deal quite easily as he is the reason D. Pearce gets free. Rekon Crozier will be asking a few questions though and maybe we see Hill as tradable because of depth in that position.
JUST GET ME A BEST 22 KPF.
Gumby's good enough, Pod's good enough.
Reid is excellent, Crameri just as good.
Thorpe good option as well.

As you can see, i will take anyone :)

This is coming up on this forum far too much IMO.

Sydney needs to get rid of Reid because of salary cap pressure. Which is why he will be cheaper than usual.

If we're talking to Reid's management that means that we have Sydney's permission because his still contracted which means a deal between Freo and Sydney has already been agreed to, we just have to convince Reid to come to WA for the deal to be done.

Can't see players involved in the trade because Sydney needs to dump salary cap money. I reckon picks are involved only.
Well that's not true. Essendon wouldn't of given the bulldogs permission to talk to Crameri, they just would of done it.

He's contracted for another 3 or 4 years. So we could probably hold out for a bit more. KPF's are fairly expensive so i'd say we'd want a youngster thrown in. ;)

I agree, you don't trade out guys like Stephen Hill. He's critical to a shot at the title.

At the end of the day you arent going to get a quality key forward without giving up a quality player. I like Hill as much as anyone, but we have a surplus of outside mids, and he's the only one with real currency.

Consider the guys on our list now who could take Hill's spot either now or in the future:

Morabito, Crozier, Sheridan, Sylvia, Simpson

At least 3 of those guys won't be getting a game next year, meanwhile we have Matt De Boer as a key forward.
