Our club need look no further than our home town rival for KP players. Perth has two on it's list who can't get a game, McInness and Tunbridge. McInness is primarily a forward but Tunbridge is more of a swingman. He kicked 4 on the weekend and is powerfully built. With Darling and Kennedy both still young I find it hard to see McInness getting in their forward line anytime soon but Tunbridge might be closely looked at in the near future as a possible replacement for Glass. Both would be a lot cheaper than Harry Taylor.

The slime probably have just about the most tall fwd depth in the league, particularly if you include their Ruck/Fwds. Another kid on the above list is Attadale Aquinian Brant Colledge. If the start of season 2013 is anything to go by, they could probably do with a bit more midfield support & we've got decent stock in that department. McInnes was taken at pick 28 - worth a swap for someone like Sheridan?

Hmmmm, interesting one.

Watch them flat track bully a few lesser teams and get ol' mate She-rod back in the team and they'll forget all about their lack of midfield class and impending loss of NN and hopefully track their way to spoonville.

Hopefully Hannath takes 8 contested marks tonight and this thread becomes obsolete.

Hope Not --------- Next week he can totally dominate for you guys :p

Just a quick question for you guys , Being on the other side of the country we dont really get alot of freo news
Jack Hannath...... 201cm 102 kgs 22 yo
Johnathon Griffin...201cm 102 kgs 27 yo
Kepler Bradley ......198cm 100kgs 28yo
Zac Clarke ..........203cm 98kgs 23yo
Aaron Sandilands ..211cm 120kgs 32 yo
Mathew Taberner ..198 cm 98kgs 20 yo
Craig Moller ...........204cm 86kgs 19 yo

With Sandilands probably good for another 2-3 years (i believe he will play until he's 34-35 simply due to his dominance because of his height) You probably have surplus of 1 of Hannath/Clarke & Griffin/Bradley atm.

Got a sneaky feeling that Clarke will be the 1 pushed out or looking for more opportunities , What is the general supporters view

I too think if Clarke doesnt show something this year, he could well be moved on ...

We do have a fair bit of height in that list above, but only a few a graders. Currently our hopes are pinned on a few skinny rookies and one large rookie unit in Jack, to sort our KP issues out. Whilst of course I hope they do only time will tell ...

As much as I hate the thought of trading any of our players , sometimes you have to give something good to get something good. Either that our we open up a large bank account for Buddy and hope he is just after the cash!!

Personally I believe for Fremantle to win a Flag you Need Buddy

With your list the way it is and Lyon coaching fremantle have a window of 3 years and you really dont have the time to experiment with 'Maybe'Type fowards - Your time is now and Buddy is prime to be taken $6mill 4 years and snag 1 maybe 2 flags whilst Pav is still there to support him

What's the story with Butcher?

Has been injured but is a one trick pony at the moment.

He runs defenders under the ball and the gets behind the defender to take a mark. Unfortunately he is getting worked out even at sanfl level.

He will be AFL standard if he gets his body right, learns a few tricks and kicks straight.

I think he will get there but has a tough year ahead.

Why don´t we recruit our No 1 ticket holder for a key forward role?

He is 1.9m+, built like the proverbial brickhouse, capable of dodging bullets and defenders would stand 10m away from him minimum for fear of their life.

just massive

most of the sas guys who I met whilst in the military were 175-180cm. this guy is an absolute monster.

He is several centimetres taller than Tom Harley who played key back for Geelong. Played a bit as a junior also plus a bit of rugby. Sounds better than going to the US combine and getting some project player from there.

Pretty light on draft for talls also.

Would of been great to had another pick before all those talls went just before our second round pick last year.

I like the sound of Mitch Harvey though in SA. Not as pumped up as Boyd or Conlon and will probably be around at our picks. 196cm, 104kg.

SA has some big boys this year. Where is Chris25 and his comments on the SA boys? Is Mitch a Hawkins type?

Henry Voigt - 195cm, 91kg defender, Ryan Simister (196cm, 105kg - can he play forward?), Cam Giles (193cm, 92kg defdener).

I'd be interested to see how Justin Hardy is going again this year at Centrals. A bloke that started out last season rucking and kicking a few goals while resting up forward - goes on to kick 60+ and win the SANFL goalkicking medal. Must be able to clunk and kick ok. And close to 200cm and 100kg as well. Thought he may have been given a rookie spot on an AFL list this season.

I don't mind one trick ponies so long as they are good at that one trick - Podsiadly is a great example. Justin Westhoff would have been worth trying for last year, but probably not now.

We were talking about that yesterday. Dockerez found these stats for this year for Justin Hardy
Kicked scores of 4, 1, 1, 2 this season.

Anyone who thinks we need a key defender ahead of a key forward has absolutely no idea.
Look at how dysfunctional we are up forward.
Struggle to kick winning scores because we have no big marking options up forward so rely on scrappy goals.

We will struggle to beat teams like GWS, GC etc by more than 20 points due to the forward lines scoring power.
Even a half decent big forward eg QLynch would make us a much better forward line.

Hannath looks abit too tall and slow as a key forward from what i saw last night.

Wouldn't you just love to see Juddy try to chicken wing him :) .

I spoke to someone close to the eagles and this particular person does not rate mcinness at all
