Reiwoldt in purple would be pretty awesome. We'd have to beat the sookiness out of him, but his work rate is huge and he kicks bags of goals regularly. He has won the Coleman up forward for the Tiges for crying out loud.

If we can fit him into our list management, then we should abso-bloody-lutely be chasing him. Would be a forward with similar output to Buddy for a better price.

This !!!

We could fit 600k 4 year contract in our list management model.

I think he would be worth that, the only question is what picks would Richmond want for him??

Lets hope GWS get Franklin so we don't have to complete with them.

Looks like Riewoldt is looking for more money, surprised this hasn't got more attention. Personally I'd rather not.

If he tries out his sook routine, you drop him to Peel and win without him, he'll pull his head in quick smart, where Richmond would drop him, capitulate that week and then come back apologising with a box of Cadbury "Roses", telling him that they ****ed up and he's in next week and forever after.

Also interesting to note that Rance and Grimes, both KPD's, are out of contract also...

We should be looking to pinch a high quality key forward from a team that is no longer challenging for a flag. It's just unfortunate that the Dogs, Melbourne, Adelaide, St Kilda and Brisbane don't have any of the right age which they haven't recently brought to the club.

I look at it the same way that I look at buying a midfielder. If we are to bring in a player they should be going straight to the top of the list for opposition attention. It's not cheap but that is how we improve as a team as opposed to improving at a single position.

Actually Adelaide have a few including Walker who should be almost right for Round 1 next year - will not happen obviously but can you imagine the complete Adelaide BF meltdown if they lost Walker after losing Tippett. Serious LOL's.

I love Howe as a player although he is undersized. Reminds me a bit of Modra as a high leaping undersized forward. As has been said, will have a lot of interest but the AFL will use our license fees to prop Melbourne players up.

Unless we are actually getting a HT/Black/type we should run the RTB physch treatment over Thorp. Guy has serious talent but a serious figjam complex which can be common with the very talented players. Always actually thought he might get a second chance if he just pulled his head in. That should of been have been knocked out of him now and if he is 100% serious and kept in reasonable shape for the lower draft pick he would be definately worth the punt. This would allow our first pick to get Johnny Marsh or other.

Not sure many Richmond players would be looking to leave, especially if they make finals this year.
They have crap loads of talent, so most in best 22 will want to stay.
Im still not convinced on their coach but geez they got some serious talent.

We had a chance to get him in 2006. Richmond got him for pick 12. The same pick 12 along with Polak to get pick 8. That pick 8 and Medhurst was used to get Tarrant.

Yeh, think they will make the finals and agree with the talent: Deledio, Martin, Cotchin, Vlastuin, Rance, Riewoldt, Vickory would all make best 22 in most teams including ours.

Imagine our forward line with Riewoldt!!

Walters, Riewoldt, Ballas, Pav, Mayne, Crozier, with players such as fyfe, mora, clarke ect rotating through

To be honest I just absolutely do not see Riewoldt leaving Richmond.

One of the real power forwards in the game. His weaknesses are nothing that cannot be addressed.

I just don't see it happening.

Agreed.

It's all part of the ducks and drakes involved in the attempted culture change at the Tigers.

They want to be like Geelong, (and who doesn't?), and because he's talented, but has been spoon fed by the administration in the past, he's finding it difficult to accept that he isn't the chosen one in a salary sense.

Just like most spoilt children.

But he'll stay. I have no doubt about that. It's just another one of his tantrums.

Now that is worth a serious look at. A very serious look. He's the right age, has the goods and we can pay him what he wants. He'd be worth a couple of first rounders or so which is the snag

Pie in the sky stuff anyway, you'd think. He'd never leave the Tiges.

So what key forward do you suggest Freo should target? You have shot down my ideas.

Don't want Reiwoldt unless its of the Nick variety, breaks the no D!ckhead rule in our list management model. Jacks a great forward but strikes me as petulant and not that team focused.

IMO reckon GWS have Franklin in their sights and if Buddy signs with hawks, will just transfer that cash to Jack. We are Talking a couple of million better difference compared to any tiger contract and assume a five year contract.

I still mull over the Fact we could of taken Big Q Lynch for 2-3 seasons last year. It wont solve the problem but would of been a useful pick up
