I would be totally disenchanted if we gave up Micky Barlow.
Really would rip a lot of heart and soul from the club.

Doubt we would have beaten Geelong without Micky.Oh and if Barlow is involved "Dont want" !! we got to GF due to Barlow/Fyfe/Mundy engine room

You can't trade blokes like Barlow if you want to win premierships, it's that simple
Maybe this also has something to do with Michie? To most it seems that he and Lachie are ready to step up to the plate and a move like this to let Barlow go in a trade for a KPF means our midfield is full of young guns and we get a player we need. I've been expecting a trade with some one good from our midfield to get an established KPF. I would have thought Hill or DeBoer.
Subes and our first rounder? Anything involving Michie would be a massive bonus. None of the main mids for a player like Reid though
Just wondering, which of Kennedy, Jack, McVeigh, Hannebery, Parker, O'Keefe and Mitchell does Suban or Michie replace?
Take it with a grain of salt. I did. I only posted that after I saw the Reid link earlier, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered because it's just rumour. Why the hell would we on sell a vital cog of our engine room?! I know we need to give quality to get quality, but come on!
Sydney needs to get rid of Reid because of salary cap pressure. Which is why he will be cheaper than usual.
If we're talking to Reid's management that means that we have Sydney's permission because his still contracted which means a deal between Freo and Sydney has already been agreed to, we just have to convince Reid to come to WA for the deal to be done.
Can't see players involved in the trade because Sydney needs to dump salary cap money. I reckon picks are involved only.
That is still possible if more than two clubs are involved.
Obviously Freo will have to trade some players to improve its first round pick.
We might not have high draft picks but never underestimate salary cap space it is as important when trading for players.
We could get really good players/higher draft picks for cheap and receive unwanted high wage/fringe players just to take cap pressure off other teams.
There's the effect on team culture trading Barlow or Hill.
Barlow is the good news story of our team and pretty much the league. Respected and a leader. That is not easily replaceable.
Do people honestly not include this kind of stuff in the equation when suggesting deals or so we should trade?
