if i select someone as a batsmen do they only score points from batting or does their bowling count towards the score as well if they happen to get a few overs?
just trying to figure out whether or not i should stack this with all-rounders.

you get 27 trades for 9 rounds. is the idea to use all 3 trades each round to maximise the amount of players with 2 games?

Last question about loophole. Looking at your team with Butler vc. He gets say 28 points. All your other DGER are locked right. If you change captain has to be playing one game only.

Likelyhood of a vc (DGER) score being lower than a changed captain playing only the one game in that week?

I understand afl loophole and I get the benchies and the lowest of them score counts if required, its just c and vc that has got me stumped. See what I did there.

Interesting to see if your team changes before Tues.

Correct
If Buttler as VC scored a zero or 10 then i have the choice of using a player who didnt play in game 1 as captain or i stick with buttler and hope his 2nd game is captain worthy.

Just be careful of emergencies. All E's are active and if 2 play (say 2 batters...Carey and Maddison for instance) and i have cartwright on the ground then if carey scores 60 and Maddison scores 6 i get the lowest score.
Can be a trap when trying the vc loophole

Today's paper still has him in doubt. "Chris Lynn has taken his left shoulder recovery to Brisbane Bandits Baseball Club which is working on sliding and throwing techniques with his right arm. Lynn is racing to be fit to play the Stars on Wednesday and is likely to join the ODI squad in January". Might need the phone handy for team tweets.

I find this comp incredibly frustrating with it's disorganised rounds full of byes and double ups, but I can't resist being in it again. I see Adelaide have a bye sandwiched between two double up rounds just to make it easier for us.

This is what I've come up with for round 1. I have no idea who's playing yet, other than what I've read in this thread so there's sure to be late changes.

I've pretty much tried to have plenty of double game players in round 1 and ready for round 2. 6 in round 1 and 8 in round 2 before trades should be plenty.

Finch is there because Lynn is injured but will be a straight swap to him if he comes up for round 2.

The wicketkeeper position seems the safest place for the non-playing captain due to the emergency rule and there being double emergencies for the batters and bowlers.

Not bad at all. Neser, Archer, Hughes will be somewhat unique, but all solid choices. Just have to make sure you are set up to take advantage of future rounds.

It's a good team. O'Connor might not play a great deal, so look for a replacement there (Bird, Nabi, Henriques?). One note is that you're pretty short on BWL/BAT players, which could affect flexibility with trades and team setup in future rounds. 6 Thunder players is a lot, they'll have to play well in both their first two games for that to pay off.
