KFC chips have always been vastly overrated imo. Never crispy enough, usually undercooked and not fresh. Red Rooster do chips so much better.

There was word of the Krushers being introduced in WA early last year, but haven't heard anything since. Wonder if we will get them at all. Same with the Cayun, though I'm assuming they have been a failure, so we won't see them at all.

But anyway, not really suited to KFC. Maybe as a stand alone product, but Ice Cream and Fried Chicken is a ****ing awful combination.

There is a fine line for KFC chips being done right, same for the Red. It is basically a 15-30 second deep fry span and pure luck through seasoning for both since we are relying on someone tossing around a shaker.

I have had KFC fries when the staff failed to add any seasoning and they were well and truly the most disgusting deep fried potato you could ever imagine. Good chips from KFC are pretty rare, always going to be a sodden box.

The fryers at my store have the chips cooked for 2:30. No where near enough IMO, should add another 20-30 seconds onto that at least. I think the nicest ones are when the service people are too busy to get them out of the fryer.

But you could always try asking for a fresh batch, and ask them to cook them for an extra 30 seconds. It could vary from store to store though, I assume the franchises nation wide have simular fryers and procedures however. Obviously, the store will not like you coming in and asking for that on a consistent basis though!

I think they have to provide a fresh batch on request, because of the possibilty of a medical condition. I once asked for chips without salt (ie fresh batch) at Ncdonalds, got rudely knocked back. If I had a heart attack due to high blood pressure hypothetically, there would of been grounds to sue.

That's what I copped the other day. Absolutely shithouse.

2:45??? ish (havn't worked in 6 months) at red rooster; but are always taken out 20 seconds early unless we forget about it.

lol no there wouldn't. If they lied and said they were fresh and salt free then maybe yes, but no one forced you to eat them, you have to take responsibility for your own actions.

Just had Nandos chicken burger at Melbourne Central. The amount of chicken has definitely reduced. Still hungry. $9.20. Can go across the road to Spicy Noodle and get a decent feed for that.

That has happened to me a few times, also gone the other way with a real fat bird between those buns. Sounds hot, I know.

I did once have a person tell me they put a 2nd piece of chicken in the burger because the first was too small. Not a bad deal that one.

Are we still talking about food here?

Are you sure your not at Goldfingers

Bump.

Public holdiday, nothing in the house, opted for fast food for the first time in over a month. Went KFC.

Disgusted. Prices seem to go up every time I go there, and the size of the chicken seems to decrease every single time. I will never eat KFC again, their prices are ridiculous, and their food sizes are pathetic.

I'd rather just have 20 weetbix to keep me going instead of that rubbish.
