Just wondering the rules here. Player marks, immediately kicks the ball, siren goes as ball is dropping. Is this legal? Or does player have to go back?
Generally the player will have played on by stepping over the position of the mark/off the line as they kick (I guess unless they're facing away from the goals and kick it directly over their own head)Just wondering the rules here. If its called play on by the umpire and the player hasn't kicked the ball (ie ball is between hands and foot), then by the law, any subsequent score would not be allowed. Yep. It depends on when the umpire calls 'Play on' and when they blow the whistle to end the quarter. If its called play on by the umpire and the player hasn't kicked the ball (ie ball is between hands and foot), then by the law, any subsequent score would not be allowed. End of quarter.
