how do you know stock has arrived?

i should go down and have a look but it will probably be a waste of time...
even though i've been pretty damn lucky with getting games a day or two before release as of late...(LBP and SF4 to name a couple.)

i'll enjoy my last couple of days with cod4 for a while then get stuck into killzone

also it's my mums b'day today so probs best if i don't have my real copy of KZ2 yet

Got a mate who works in an independent game shop in Newcastle

If his store has it, all will have it arriving today according to him

Yeah the eb bloke said if I turn up on Wednesday night he is owrking or a mate, he can give it to me then, so I would assume they will get it today or morn tomorrow.

Ok, mates stock was just delivered about half an hour ago.

Killzone is not street dated, so if the stock is in, it should be sold immediately according to him.

just gave knox jb a call then and their stock hasn't arrived yet...
for those interested halo wars has though.

but yeh he said he has to wait for word from head office if it's ok to sell once stock comes in.
but either way killzone 2 hasn't come in to that particular jb so still might just wait til the 26th even if i can pick it up tomorrow.

Game at Knox has it, the bloke behind the counter was getting all the pre-ordered copies ready at about 1:30 today.

I preordered mine online at gameswarehouse and got an email this morning saying they shipped it yesterday! (tues - 24th) Look out postman pat coz im liable to tackle you into the deck im that excited

Nah price was just the usual (i think ?) vines - $ 99.95 for the game and $ 6 bucks to ship it to me. I just checked how long it usually takes - 24hours... Money well spent if it turns up today, otherwise should be here Thursday.

Could turn up today, I ordered a game from Play Asia a while ago in the morning and it turned up the next afternoon, and that was from Hong Kong

Not far into it, got it only a bit over an hour ago (having some lunch now ).
Pretty impressive so far.

Just got it... They didn't want to in the morn but the bloke said he will call the uppers, they replied saying everyone was already 'breaking the rules' so I may as well pick it up...

If i was a game studio i'd let people who preorder get the game 2 days or so early.

For big games people would rush to pre order, which in turn makes the game look even better as a marketable product, due to the strong pre order/opening day numbers.

And if the game sucks...well people have already bought it before they find that out...
