Wasn't he the kick-ass protagonist in the first KillZone? Why is confined to working in a control room the whole game? Is it because he can't jump?

I think it's mentioned somewhere isn't it? No doubt he was promoted to a 'safer' job.

When you host it all depends on your upload speed.

Some run more than others, Warhawk is the smallest I've seen, you could play for hours and hours and only use up about 10-20MB, R:FoM ran up a bit I know that.

TAKING AIM AT KILLZONES RECKLESS MEDICS
I just can’t keep quiet any longer. My rage is about to overflow and the “Killzone 2″ “medics” will feel my furious anger, after the jump.

Medics, what the hell? You all are almost as reckless as those trigger-happy soldiers who chuck grenades in friendly-heavy hallways. Bunch of ****ing amateurs.

Excuse me. That was terribly inappropriate. I didn’t intend to berate all of you. Most medics are OK in my book. In fact, I could see us sitting down, discussing battle tactics over a few Newcastles. That is, if you all weren’t avatars in a virtual world. Unfortunately, some of your fellow healers choose to abuse their god-like powers. These individuals seem to mess their pants every time a cross appears above a fallen comrade. It is to these moronic and/or stat-padding medics that I now speak.

In the future, instead of blindly rushing in to “save” me, assess the situation first. Please don’t whip out your zapper if I am surrounded by enemies. Chances are, I will just die a second time; you might end up dead as well.

When a soldier gets resuscitated, it takes a few seconds for that individual to collect his thoughts, which leaves him vulnerable to enemy attack. The other day, one of you revived me when my body was right next to a shotgun-wielding foe. Needless to say, I didn’t last very long. To make matters worse, my “helper” had to holster his/her weapon to bring me back from the brink. Thus, that person left himself/herself defenseless.

Of course, I am sure that at least one of you will argue that I am only concerned with protecting my kill-to-death ratio. Allow me to steal your thunder. That assertion is correct. For once in my lifetime, I have more kills than deaths in an online first-person shooter; I would like to keep it that way. I can accept death when it is a result of my own actions, but I hate being the victim of another individual’s stupidity.

Insult me if you wish, but humans are naturally competitive; games like “Killzone 2″ encourage and reward that spirit. Besides, getting your ass handed to you isn’t much fun. As former Chiefs coach Herm Edwards once said, “You play to win the game.” Edwards is a great man; only fools ignore his wisdom. Just look at the staffers of the Titanic. They didn’t listen to the former Jets coach and they hit an iceberg.

btw it will take you a couple of hours gameplay at least to unlock the medic....at first your character is pretty shite

but i think you press right on the d pad and that brings up the medic gun or something....then you press it again to go back to your gun... (not 100% certain though)

When I used to play as a medic if you press triangle it gets your main weapon back out

I am pretty close to the end now but it gets pretty ridiculous. There are dudes everywhere and I had no idea who or what was shooting me half the time.

Also, I ****ing hate when your so called team mates don't get out of your way. It happens in most, if not all, shooters though. I was trying to get down some steps and some **** was just staring up at me without moving, I am trying to blow the shit out of a building and he just stands there. At least you can melee and shoot your team mates though, I do enjoy doing that when they piss me off.

Yeah, I found myself doing that a lot during the campaign. If they aren't one of your close, revivable team mates, just kill them.

Sometimes they are pretty handy though. I found Rico to be very helpful in the last section of the last level. 99% of the game they are bloody useless though.

Where exactly are you up to and what difficulty are you playing on?

scooter..... I'm playing on normal/medium whatever the middle one is. Did start on hard but that wasn't really enjoyable when I'm trying to work out a new game with different, slower controls. So I quit that and took it back a notch. Also....

I'm about to storm the Palace. Just blew up the 3 towers now have to try and get inside but there are people everywhere. Plus flying machines.

I just picked up the LMG and run and gunned. I think I only died once there, but on my second turn I just kept pushing forward. There's a good spot you can use for cover - there's a Helghan soldier manning a turret. Shoot him and you can wipe out most of the soldiers just by standing underneath the balcony bit there.
