I honestly think it looks like it was Vickery that did the damage (rewound it about 5 times).

If it is Vickery, can King get off and Vickery escape the charge on a technicality (i.e. MRP has already made their incorrect decision)?

100% Kingie. At first i thought it was friendly fire, but second look Kingie clearly hit him in the mouth. Even though McGrath rushed him, MRP dont take that into account.

Kingie has tapered off in the last few weeks and a rest will do him good so he can re-focus, then come out firing against the Tankers as he loves them.

Jake should appeal to the MRP, the worst that can happen is that he keeps the same punishment. Everybody that is going to the Saturday match should bring a sign saying. "The King is Innocent" or "Free King."
This is a travesty. In match brawls normally give players fines.

Not happy about this at all but I know where the blame lies, it aint Demetriou or Anderson or the Bears medical staff or whoever the f**k runs this shambolic MRP - the blame lies 100% with Jake King - he should know how inconsistent this trainwreck of a panel is and has let his coach, all his team mates and all Tiger supporters down. Should be put on a permanent probation by the coach.

It is an absolute joke. Brisbane clearly instigated a lot of the off the ball stuff (I suspect it was a deliberate tactic on their part).

I'm sorry but I belong to the school of thinking that says; if you go out of your way to rough a bloke up and end up with a fat lip for your troubles, it's your own fault.

Who exactly is on the MRP? With the decisions they've made this season I suspect strong Carlton links.

Dead Set the tigers should challenge this and get it downgraded. I cant see any thing i'd deem to be forceful contact there.

Medical reports? Cotchin got put in by a medical report from north last year saying sam wright would be out for a month and then was playing a week later.

Jackson intervenes in a 4 v 1 with Nahas and also gives away 50.
King get's a week for defending himself while Mcgrath gets nothing.

This is bullshit, i really hope they contest it and get it cleared cause that's ridiculous

Oh wait I think i get it now. You can't tap someone on the face but yet you can elbow someone in the face and get away with it and pump someone in the head at full speed and get 1 week.

Well it would be rubbish if I was suggesting King adopt the Jack Watts method of not reacting at all and walking away...which obviously Jake would never do, nor should any Tiger, but the point I was trying to make was that due to our relatively poor depth he's just gotta get smarter because from one week to the next nobody seems to know how to do it in a way the MRP can't get them....and Hardwick should be poking him in the chest and letting him know this.

actaully from what i can remember from when i was watching the game, was that when king was wrestling against mcgratch, and kingy got the free kick reversed that number 41 from brisbane gave king a quick jab to the face. i could be totally wrong here, but if someone has the game saved, take a look

Geez its not being r*ped like a lot of you are saying. It shits me when supporters don't look at the larger picture. There are plenty of crap decisions made by the umpire everyweek!!! Look at the Trengrove and Rance suspensions. They are really bad ones. This is nothing, King has a bad record and it carries over a lot of points to make it a one game suspension. He did unfortunately draw blood. McGrath didn't hit Kingy in the face. Big problem for us missing him next week. We really need him out there!!!! Definitely bring White back in.
