Former Kangaroos star David King has joined Richmond as an assistant coach.
King, who retired at the end of 2004 after 241 games with the Roos, will work full-time for the club three days per week as well as on match days. He will supplement that work with a role in the football media.
King rounds out a new-look Tiger coaching staff headed by new coach Terry Wallace and assistants Brian Royal, Steve Alessio and David Whewadon.
“Terry was particularly keen to add some recently-retired premiership players to the group,” Tiger football director Greg Miller told richmondfc.com.au.
“He believes David King and Steve Alessio will provide a more recent perspective on the game and that they’ll add significantly to his team.”
King played in the 1996 and 1999 premiership teams at Arden Stree
