I mean lets analyse them.

1) Fell into Chapmans back gave away 50 easy goal.

2) Went the man not the ball SJ FK and Goal

3) Goes across goal with useless skills straight to Mooney - Goal

I believe this

4) McGuane punchs ball in anger at King - Goal.

Then we had him on Ablett in the last.

The bump on Johnson was fair & shoulder high
Johnson milked it & the umpire fell for it....again
Perhaps he should have tackled but we cant bag guys for lack of aggression then bag them for aggression in the next breath

As for the 50m,give me a break, there were another 10 of them in the game & not 1 was paid.

seth

1) Fell into Chapmans back gave away 50 easy goal.

Chapman hooked his arm and dragged him on top along with the momentum he already had. There was never a 50m in that, just shithouse umpiring.

2) Went the man not the ball SJ FK and Goal

Hit him fair and square with a good hip and shoulder - zero contact to the head. Johnson's effort to stage and deceive should see him get invitations from the Socceroo's next week.

3) Goes across goal with useless skills straight to Mooney - Goal

Shocking turnover, string him up and I'll watch.

4) McGuane punchs ball in anger at King - Goal.

Fair go, that was all McGuane.

In saying that, I never thought I'd see the day when Poindexter McKnobskull Umpire would be standing there saying "you've seen the DVD" after one of the worst decisions in the history of the game.

Good umpires detect the spirit of a game and umpire around it. Poindexter McKnobskull ****wits ignore the spirit of the game and tear it to shreds with their 'I was a professional auditor before they kicked me out for being a pedant' interpretations.

The only bad decision from King was the long pass to Mooney.

The 50m to Chapman and the free to Johnson (both goals) were disgraceful, nothing in them at all.

To me, he set the scene today with his attack on the ball. He should play every week.

DUMB supporters look to blame KING. He was great defensively. Intensity was good, and he shows grit. MORE OF THAT.

Geelong are the masters of milking a free kick - thats for sure, i am almost glad hawthorn beat them by rushing points last year - the cats milk more free kicks than any other side.

Commentators say they are so good at it because they are "clever" - meanwhile these same commentators abuse soccer for all its diving and call the game "soft"

There is as much"acting" and "diving" in AFL than there is in soccer - thats for sure...:thumbsd:

Agreed. Our forward line pressure after the first half today was awesome. Against weaker sides that will result in big wins :thumbsu:

The 50m to Chapman wasnt there but thats not the point nor was King, he could never have prevented the mark so why be anywhere near him. Also overheard he is horrible.

How can you single one bloke in the game yeah he did a few mistakes ,but I thought he did well. How about we talk about the senior blokes who went missing in the last quarter

It just gets me how he is selected to play a position which simply needs the basics to be done properly requires zero flair and he cant do it.

Fair enough mate.

The way I saw it, he should have been playing Nahas' role and we are still way short of having just one small defender who can use the football reliably AND defend well.

A veteran coolheaded Milburn if you like.

Instead we have captain Newman kicking turnovers from full-back which was just as bad as King's IMO, and having very little influence on the game.

On the plus side, we saw just how vulnerable Geelong were when they have to play with a ruck division like what we have to deal with week after week. ;)

King should be taken out of the backline for good. His lack of height regularly gets exposed and his field kicking out of defence is very dodgy.

I'm not against trying him as a small forward though.

Everyone is talking about the 2-3 goals he cost us but what about the chase down in the last qtr to save a goal..:thumbsu:

although i think he will struggle to stay in the side next week and i do get worried when he is deep in the backline..
