I'm only about 2 hours in and being the completionist that I am this game is going to take up months of my time lol. But it does have that "anything can happen" type of feel to the open world that I have only felt from games like Witcher and the Bethesda heavyweights.

Anyone here playing the first or straight to the second.
Been playing the first one but it's such a long game that I'm going to go straight to the 2nd now.

I went straight to the second. It tends to to reference the 1st a fair bit so it's not like you're out of the loop.

What are all the keys for? I still have them from the 2 guys at the hut and the wandering drunk guy who I knocked out.

And should I sell things like Gemstone rings? They add charisma but are also worth over 300 groshen..

Nearly every NPC carries keys because they have a home or at least somewhere they sleep with a chest and their belongings. If the keys just have a generic name you can ditch them if you want.

Looked around the wandering drunk guy who aggros on you couldn't find a chest. Bit odd the way you get warned about him as if he is part of a quest but doesn't seem to be any more important than many other random npcs.

A set of keys I think is just a default item of the NPC class design. Some might not have chests but lots do from random hired hands to bandits. If you watch them at night they'll go to their chest wherever it might be and put their clothes in it before going to bed. Also if you rob that chest of the clothes you'll see them walking around in just their undies lol. After a few days their chest contents will reset.

Me too. I've gone back to bandit camps that have respawned and my previous generic keys that I looted no longer work on the same chest. In design terms when the chest is spawned it would have a conditional unlock check and it would be assigned to a key ID. This would reset when new NPCs are assigned. I think this happens to generic non-quest related doors and chests too because when you close the game and any variables in the game instance are cleared so on reload those keys no longer work. I "acquired" the keys to the guard quarters in Kuttenberg and they didn't work after I restarted the game 😔

I've taken a break from this, crossed 100 hours last weekend and was getting annoyed at various parts if the game so decided I'll need to play something else for a few weeks before getting back into it refreshed. I did my standard playthrough style of open world RPGs where I do every side mission possible before doing the story and OPing my character, then getting burnt out on the game. 😂

Absolutely great game. Some bits and pieces annoy me; constantly getting stuck on stairs even when they're empty like there's an invisible wall is one. The fact that the way you dress is so important but you can't just kill a soldier and steal their outfit and blend is kinda shit.

Some of the skills/perks are completely pointless, but it's great to max out the stealth and thievery stuff. Can do stuff so much faster and without being caught. Particularly where you get the perk that allows you to sell stolen goods and it upgrades your levels with every sale.

Anyway will leave it foe a few weeks before getting back to it. I'm kinda hoping Caporn dies at some point coz he's such a whiney campaigner, tired of saving his arse.

To be fair, Hans is a lot more toned down than he was in the first game. He's still a turd but he was insufferable before.

Also as a side tip you guys might have already worked out: some NPCs won't respond if they're sleeping but you can wake them by throwing rocks at them 😄

Jeez probably would've returned the game if he was worse!

You dont really need to play the first mate, The story is explained well at the start of the second one if it interests you.
