I like the headline:
"King: departs"

They just couldn't be stuffed making a whole article about it, shows how much we care! (Not calling this a bad thing, just stating an opinion on how it looks).

It's a good cleanout so far, and positive steps in the right direction for the future.
However, I can see it now: sit back and watch all the Collingwood (and other club) supporters 'bag' our new kids next year for not being 'instant footballers'....

The last of the Mgough inspired era of fat arsed midfielders just about gone.....Dissapointing given he was an 'almost' for a 2003 grand final debut.

(At the time) He would have thanked his lucky stars he wasn't picked to play in that game, but the way his career has panned out, he would probably have given anything to say he played in an AFL Grand Final..

King was a terrible player, the only thing good from him that I remember was a goal he kicked to give Collingwood a win over Richmond last year.

The Article say:

David King has become the sixth player to be delisted by the Magpies as the Club continues its post season football review.

King made an impressive start to his AFL career in 2003, (Thats wrong, didnt play a senior game that year) highlighted by two important goals in the space of two weeks to secure wins against Richmond and Fremantle late in the season. (Thats was 2004)

King went on to kick eight goals in nine games in his debut season for Collingwood, while also being an important part of Williamstown’s premiership side in that same year. (Williamstown premiership is 2003, Debut is 2004)

That is terrible article Cameron sorry Clinton Brown. Dont they do research or get someone to poof sorry proof read it.

I told you they just don't care anymore down there! The headline said it all: "King: departs". They didn't give a stuff that he was going, and just reported it. No care as to factual evidence of his history at the club!

I recon collingwood had to give the players a few seasons to see if they could play but they are crap. Eddie is bringing in big bucks and the problem is that the assistant coaches are crap..they cant work out that the kid can play or not soon enought or they cant teach them to play.

collingwood have got some realy good players and shouldve made the finals but for injuries to key players. i expect them to make the finals next year for sure

Lots of easy decisions made so far.

No tough decisions will be made until after the trade period. No point delisting anybody with any trade value until after having shopped them around first.

Agree hotpie except that some hard decisions re off field personal are long overdue. There are playing list and football department decisions yet to be made (or perhaps made public).
