Was cooking breakfast with the missus at the time and things got a bit frisky, pushed her up on the edge of the bench forgetting about the eggs we were poaching, her arse landed on the handle and flicked a pan full of boiling water up her back. Ended up in hospital with third degree burns.

Safe to say we weren't together for much longer after that...

Cooking stir fry when I was sick with a cold once. I'm sniffing away and wiping my nose and must of snorted a bit of chilli. Had lots of little cuts up my nose because I had being blowing it all day. Felt like I'd been stabbed in the nose

Went to steam some vegetables without putting any water in the pot underneath. All of a sudden I could smell something burning and couldn't figure out what it was. I went to check the veges and got a massive whiff of smokey vegetables. It wasn't the greatest smell in the world I'll tell you that. Then I stupidly put the hot pot on top of a tea towel and it burned the tea towel.

I've done that twice before and now I check numerous times before I put it on the stove to make sure there is water in the pot.

Similar story except with toilet. Had been cooking with chili and must not have got it completely washed off.

Not particularly pleasant.

My boss once wanted to warm up a muffin in the microwave but put 30 minutes instead of 30 seconds. Went back to his office and got distracted by things, forgot about the muffin until the fire alarm went off.

Cutting chillies then rubbing your eyes is never a good idea.

I'd always recommend washing your hands before you have a slash if you've been cutting chillies.
