Pretty respectable result for NZ, even if you don't consider the previous Test. Decent series for Jeetan Patel, was prepared to throw the ball up against India or all teams and picked up 7 over the two Tests. Seems the bowlers had a fairly solid few matches without really getting the reward. The batting on the other hand...well Watling must be a first-up start for the next series. Persist with Franklin at 6 plz.

Is Sachin coming to an end? No century for at least 13 Tests. However, he is still avergaing 34 over this period. Bowled through the gate on all three occasions. He had a similar problem during his kind of slump from 2004-2008.

They'll carry him to 200 tests, at the very least. Can't see him quitting before then.

Like the look of the New Zealand pace trio this test. Southee, Boult and Bracewell could be as good a combination as the Kiwi's have ever had if they can all reach their potential.

Add in Wagner to that list and Milne on the horizon, yes that attack does look neat and might trouble England, say, in their next summer's tour.
