Knightmare, can I get your thoughts on the key forwards?
Daniher is the clear no.1, but popular wisdom has the next rung being Jaksch ahead of Shaw, and then Membrey.
I'd have those three reversed in order, as recruiters are followers - realizing now you don't have to be 194 cms if you're strong as an ox and are athletic like Membrey is.
I see that trio as being pretty even but also very different players. Of these I'd pick for best fit for the particular clubs situation.
Membrey will give the most immediate punch as that strong leading forward. Shaw is more your tall marking forward with some smarts and the ability to finish around goal. Then Jaksch is more your versatile - can play forward or back to a high level and is the best of all worlds and can play up the ground and have more of an impact.
All look to be first rounders in any case and all in a similar enough range. Who has the better career probably comes down to who lands in the best situation.
Hey knightmare what can you tell me about a couple of guys who were named in the TAC cup AA team in gribble (named on the wing) and gilmore in ruck. are they under ages and what are there chances of being drafted?
Sam Gilmore was of draft age last year missing out. I can't say any of the ruckmen this year in the TAC have really stood out. Maybe a late/rookie chance if a club is looking for someone.
Gribble is this year eligable. Has a light body but big time accumulator and has had a big season. Been very good for the Falcons through the midfield. In the mix to go late draft.
