Surely Brisbane wouldn't take McCarthy they already have a few KPF coming up in the NEAFL and next year have Hammelmann in the academy.

Not sure if there's another list, but it's mentioned in this article that McCarthy was invited.

McCarthy this week received an invitation to the November 21 national draft on the Gold Coast, which indicates a strong chance of being picked early.

Dees supporters seem to have Freeman locked in, but their will be better players available at 9.

I've struggled to really warm to his game.

I've seen games where he just doesn't seem interested to get his hands on it.

He has his fans and talent but there are a few who do more good things more often as similar types who have won my interest more.

I would think so, and would be a great pick up if he did last that long. Interestingly, Knightmare has Brisbane picking Freeman, so if you got Scharenberg we'd end up with the player we've targeted at #9.
