Knightmare, what's seen Bontempelli and McDonald fall from your power rankings and made Crouch and Sheed move up?
Knightmare's obviously missed the VFL finals.

hey km still dont rate conway in your top 60 power rankings? hes had a few best on grounds in a row playing in the neafl lately
Hey KM. Just a quick note on Jack Martin. Looks like he has grown to about 188/189. Perhaps still a bit more growth in him?
Also James Sicily is possibly the most skillful young player I've seen this year, where do you see him going?
Like he wasn't a scary enough prospect already. You guys have a gem there.Hey KM. Just a quick note on Jack Martin. Looks like he has grown to about 188/189. Perhaps still a bit more growth in him?

i have been told from a very good source. Jack Martin is regarded as the second best player on the Suns list behind Ablett of course
hey knightmare,
Whats your take on the lions possibly picking up dayle garlett?
maybe as a second round pick,
think he could be something special for us on the outside with mayes and hanley.
Zyrus MansonDayle Garlett wins the title for most posts about one person, I do t have anything new to say just thought I would add another post
Zyrus Manson
God help us if he gets overlooked again, and has a(nother?) good year in the WAFL next year!Garlett wins. Been going for 3 years. Manson went for a few months.

Knight, I think particularly after the first round the Pies need to focus on rebounding player swho are decent defensively but more importantly are above average kicks. Some height would also be a plus
Isaiah Miller is one. Who else do you think we could target for our 2nd round / 3 rd / 4th etc (not sure how many picks we will take having regard to rookie upgrades)
Knightmare, as a person I really respect I would like your take on GWS and how we have recruited and also what we might do this year.
It is impossible to get every decision right but I must say I've found some of our drafting decisions quite strange.
Firstly passing over Chad Wingard and Brodie Grundy.
From memory, Chad Wingard was predicted by most pundits as a pick 1-3 draftee on pure talent. I believe the only perceived knock on him was that he had several concussions as a young player and was deemed a bit of a risk. Was there any personality issues perceived about him?? He does come across as a confident possibly cocky young man but was he deemed a flight risk by interstate teams?? I just don't understand how we ignored him with 5 straight picks.
From memory again Grundy was forecast as a top 2 or top 3 talent from last years draft only to drop alarmingly to 19 on draft day. GWS had already identified a weakness at ruck and whilst we made it clear we wanted a mature ruck surely with 5 picks we were entitled to take Grundy. Again I have heard whispers his personality testing let him down and something about him saying he wanted to go to a strong winning club but it this true??
Both Wingard and Grundy look like generational players which we also lost out on with being unable to take Crouch, O'Meara, Martin and Hogan because of their age (albeit well compensated via the mini draft).
Last year we took Plowman at 3 (projected pick 7-10) which to me was a bizarre decision and O'Rourke (projected pick 5-7) over Wines which I need an explanation for from an experienced person like you. Yes we had a need for a defender but is pick 3 not too high a price to pay?? Wines looked ready made and had a senior body.
Again I realise we can't always get it right. Our recruiters did a sensational job with the 17 year olds we drafted and Whitfield also looks a gun but I do scratch my head about some other decisions.
What are your thoughts and what do you think about this draft. Would you go Boyd or would you go Scharanberg?? What would we have to give up with Taylor Adams to get pick 2??
Thoughts appreciated![]()
Km do you reckon Zac websters chances are of getting drafted
It's not about having good sources. Gold Coast have continually through the media mentioned that they think Jack Martin is better than Jaeger.
Martin has the opportunity to become the best in this draft but I'd take Jaeger first anyday.
Martin is better in the air and stronger overhead and has even more freakish athleticism but Jaeger wins his own footy more and is better inside the contest which in combination with his athleticism, damaging skills and professionalism make him the more dominant talent at AFL level.
Knightmare's obviously missed the VFL finals.
