Knight.... whats your thoughts on Joel Tippett and his draft chances? He looks in great shape and spent most the year dominating forwards in the SANFL. Surely if he was to get another AFL chance it would be now?

Tippett is an athlete but not a footballer.

He's a late/rookie chance and he has done well in the SANFL. He's certainly a chance.

That said I like others more and would draft others first.

Joel Tippett or Kory Beard

Tippett
: 25 years old, 196cm 93KG, KPD

Beard
23 years old, 192cm, 92Kg, KPD but has played as a forward marking option

Tippet has been on an AFL list before

Beard was named in the SANFL team of the year at HBF

Matt Sully as a mature key defender but of the two South Australians Beard.

thats the Geelong bloke right?

Have seen a bit of him, seems to lack rebound game compared to Beard

but would have Beard beat in taking a KPF out of the game

or am i thinking of someone else?

Beard is the more advanced with Sully the younger of the two.

Sully is the more limited as a rebounder but better as a stopper.

Because we are getting Perris (outside mid) I'd like us to take Dunstan (inside mid) I like players that are ready to go from day one Dunstan is that guy.

Knightmare do you think WCE traded pick 6 on the proviso that Collingwood not touch Acres or Sheed.

I don't think there is such a specific arrangement in place.

More West Coast are confident one if not both of Sheed and Acres will be there at 11 as those who are from what many are speculating the two West Coast are interested in.
Clubs are usually savy enough to have some rough idea on who clubs may be looking at and what types.

I'd take Acres at 10 if I was selecting for Collingwood but they may not have interest and going off the history of the way Collingwood draft they mostly take West Australians as rookies so the risk for West Coast of moving down even without any formal agreement with Collingwood is low.

I feel Sheed may be taken at 7 to Brisbane so this could throw a spanner in the works especially if as you say Collingwood could possible take Acres at 10. Who would you imagine West Coast take than?

who would they take...? don't know player wise but the recruiting guy who suggested trading away pick 6 will take some very serious hits to the head

Sounds like draft tampering to me....

Not if no one values the same talents as West Coast do.

Brisbane tend to like those who test better so if I had to pick I wouldn't think they'd take either.

Melbourne like Salem with Freeman the other they're looking at.

And Collingwood like Aish/Bontempelli/Kolodjashnij/Salem/Lennon going by what is being rumoured so probably both are available.

In the odd scenario that both Acres and Sheed are gone by pick 11 as happened in the bigfooty phantom

Freeman/L.Taylor/Scharenberg/Lennon would all be available. Presumably one of these would be selected. Who specifically is anyones guess.

Today's west Australian suggested collingwood and Brisbane fighting it out over cam mccarthy, both considering using their top pick

I'd personally expect Kade to be more around the 6-12 mark depending on what the teams like. He has played some good footy this year but I still see Boyd, Sharenberg, Aish, Kelly and Billings in front of him. I think Gold Coast will pick up Sharenberg if his around at number five as I see him as a better rebounding defender than Kade is. I think pick six will be interesting to see who will go there.

Surely Brisbane wouldn't take McCarthy they already have a few KPF coming up in the NEAFL and next year have Hammelmann in the academy.
