So he is the anti rockcliff in terms of charcter
Rumour a while ago at the Dogs was that in Koby's first year or two, not sure when, but Will Minson was getting ahead of himself at training. He was roughhousing and bullying a younger player and generally being a horses behind. Koby fronted him about it in the locker room and when Will still was carrying on Koby sat him on his arse.
Of course this rumor is a bit like Chinese whispers but it shows the quality of the bloke to 1 stand up for younger blokes. 2 standing up to a giant like Will. 3 Tough enough to supposedly sit Will on his arse.

Minson sounds polarizing.

Easily the most polite footballer I've met. Had an insanely chilled vibe about him.

Just an "up and down" personality?

Mature body and brings some hardness. Perfect protection for our young mids.

Seems to have decent skills. Will make us a better team.

Now up to him to become a permanent player or stop gap.

And that is the issue. Why we want a player who many think is a stop gap or depth is beyond me. Hope he is a star. He will get a lot of the ball but is he the type of player who will improve us. I'm doubting it. Perfect for a top side.

Looks a good trade for me. Dunstan might be the one under pressure now. He'd better learn how to run.

Man you are inconsistent. You whined about a lack of midfield depth all year and we get some depth and you still aren't happy. Kobe is an upgrade on Armo this year, behind where Armo was last year though. He can play outside mid and also inside and forward. He's a good size and a great competitor, has a few flaws but the main reason he's at the Saints is because he arrived at the Dogs when they had their best midfield depth in years. Who would you drop out of Bont, Libba, Daniel, Picken, Dunkley, Dahlhaus, Clay Smith, Wallis, Hunter, Mc Lean, Jong and even Matt Boyd is a mid gone back to defence. Obviously there are a few of those who play positions out of the centre but all are played as runners who link and the way they play are extra mids.

In comparison we have Steven, Ross, Armo, Newnes, Riewoldt etc as our best players the a big drop down to guys like Curren and Minch who are battlers but limited. Acres Dunstan and gresham are all developing and could be anything but as excited as we all are about their future they aren't there yet as 23 games a year mids (Dunstan is playing every game but wouldn't at another club). Stevens if he replaces Dunstan in the best team would make us better, if Dunstan gets left out he might get a rocket up him and step up a gear. If we have an injury to Jack Steven again we would be bottom 4 ATM also.

I think that is the problem with both of them and also Ross. We need outside run. That must be our next target.

Ross can run and distribute. So can Kobe from the look of things. Dunstan is the one that can't so he'd better have his spikes on over the summer unless he wants to play at Sandy. Acres and Gresham can break lines so we do have some spread but agree we need more.

I'm sorry. Why is Impatient Saint not all over this. This kid can obviously fight. Should we not give them pick 10 for him

I'm very consistent. You are also consistent. You don't understand what is written and in your head make up things that aren't written. I said we need more mids who are top 15 players. Not just depth so please don't make things up. Kobe is not an upgrade on Armo this year. He has played 75 games in about 8 years. Blame injury blame being in good sides but don't blame facts. And as you said who could the WB drop to play him? None of them because they are better. How does that make us get near WB? It doesn't. If Stevens replaces Dunstan it may make us a point better. We need goals better. We don't need to drop a 4th year player to improve marginally. So Gringo read anything you like into what I write except facts.
