I think it is important that Saints build some trading integrity. We are starting to see stories now of clubs not wanting to trade with certain other clubs because of poor trade behaviour. I don't think we should bend over but I think we to be fair and I think 50+ for Stevens is fair. Pesronally. I'd like to see us build ties with Doggies over the next few years. The closer the second tier clubs are to each other the harder it is for the big clubs to just do as they please.

I hope those days are over......

One thing you notice watching his highlights is that he doesn't hold back. With Koby, Mav, Armo & Dunstan in the team there will be some big tackles.

I think Koby will be fantastic for the Saints. Just needs some luck to stay injury free. A couple of years ago when he was fit he was huge for the dogs. He is a true competitor and as tough as nails. Koby's skills are not elite, but with his huge heart makes up for it.

My friend who's family friends with Koby, that told me about the trade all those weeks ago says that he's itching to get started (as he should be, obviously) and that his body is great and raring to go for pre season, if he can have an uninterrupted pre season then watch out, could end up being an absolute bargain! Says his body hasn't felt as good as it does now in a fair while and is really excited about the list and where we are headed.

Looks a tough hard as nails competitor - likes to keep his feet - good sidestep and has awareness - see ball get ball and handball to the outside - decision making looks OK as well - will be a solid contributor and adds depth to our inside mid division :thumbsu:

The misses almost slipped off her chair due to excess moisture when she just seen who we landed in trade week.

Koby should be good for an extra 5000 memberships of the female variety

Seems to go very hard at the ball which is good, but also looks like his disposal etc is quite sloppy.

Hope he can work on that during the pre-season.

"Quite sloppy" probably isn't a phrase we should be using taking previous posts into consideration. Maybe "erratic".

I'm really happy with Koby, he's definitely a ready to go player and fills an immediate need. As good as Acres, Dunstan and Gresham are on potential as mids, Koby could walk in and be a best 22 player from week one.

He's not at an age where he'll suddenly get better, he's what he is

Skills are absolutely improvable regardless of age. Sure, you can't turn a Clinton Jones into a Buddy Franklin with his field kicking, but I'm not sure why you think it's set in stone? Minor adjustments to technique and constant dedication for the repetition of these movements = rewritten muscle memory.

From what I've seen of him his foot skills don't seem too bad, they don't seem elite but he is more like a Acres or Weller, where he bags the up and unders, rather than a full shank of a kick.

Similar observation here, doesn't seen bad at all. Think a Dogs supporter also said that his kicking is really good when he plays across half forward and is kicking into the forward 50 with a little more time to work with which is definitely a positive- our forward 50 entries are slowly improving and if he can add to that then his value will be evident.
