Maybe against GWS but has never had over 20 touches
Has been the sub in the majority of his matches. IMO he is not a good sub (not many medium paced players would be), he would be much better starting and playing out a few full games. Unfortunately he hasn't has the chance to do this yet, however fully believe when he gets the chance to do so will become a solid to quality mid. That is the reason I want him to stay an Eagle, but can completely understand if he wants to have a chance at a different club where he will most likely be starting 22.

Watched him a lot this year and just don't think he has enough attributes to become anything more than a back-up player at the next level. I certainly wouldn't give up anything under pick 50 for him...

you just have to watch the goal at 2:46.35 to see that koby is not slow at all the kid is powerful and has skills, and that was after 5 weeks of injuries, i hope he leaves for somewhere where there is not 4-5 a grade mids infront of him(the only reason he isnt playing) and chops up in the next few seasons, because he is going to be a gun

and he is just not an inside mid thats the beauty of him

it is frustrating to see a player of his capability be brought in for one game have 20 touches after a year of not playing afl intensity football and be left out the next because matt pridis comes back in, yes fair enough pridis is a gun, but this kid will not improve from 1 full game and 2 to 3 games as a sub playing full foward against sydney and half foward against north, and in the nab cup playing as a foward pocket. he has all the tools and showed that in his first year when playing full games. he will evolve into a very good afl player

Tom Swift gets a game ahead of him.... And Ebert left last year, leaving a spot vacant... Please.
Addam Maric showed more in his stint at Melbourne. And at Richmond, actually.
Dominates VFL, can't impact AFL.
Maybe that'll all change. I'm sure he'll get picked up, but he's a delist if no-one showed any interest

Your post is wrong.
wrong, the kid has pace and power u just have to watch his wafl games this year always breaks tackles and out runs opponents with the footy in hand is not just an inside mid, and he has skills. if u watched some footage from the wafl you would see this but your ignorant, i am a keen east freo supporter and watch this kid all the time he gets tagged nearly every week, i think thats saying something in its own, swift gets left alone so he gets the ball and butchers it..

Spot on. When people say he's slow and can't kick I know they're talking out their arse and it's sad because I assume they think the perception of Kobe on bigfooty will make a difference to his trade value in reality.

Another thing I will say, this time to the detriment of Kobe, is that I don't believe he plays like the bull a lot of people describe him as. Whenever I've seen him (quite rarely but I feel often enough to get a decent handle on him) he has never really smashed through a pack when winning a hard ball. At best he breaks one tackle and runs off but his power is over rated despite looking like Conan the Barbarian... This is not to say he can't win a clearance but he's not an animal in that regard.

His marking is under rated too.

John turbull= Koby Stevens welcome to the site Koby, where do u think you will be next year? In this above post he was dropped because he got 19 touches at 63% eff against GWS hardly a claim to fame. Against the swans where u would think this hardball superstar should have stared he only got 6 touches at 67% eff when sub in during the 3rd quarter not good. Against north same deal sub in during the 3rd quarter 4 touches at 75% not good. Finally against the saints 5 touches at 60% and again sub in during 3rd quarter.

So really i think anymore than a 3rd rounder is kings ransom and imo Reimers and Colyer have shown a ton more at AFL level so i might just take them off the table for Stevens( Even though Reimers is probably getting delisted).

It's a
That's fair enough but u have to see where most people are coming in your honest opinion if he played for another club what would you trade for him
it's a hard one because all the ability is there he just hasn't shown it in limited opportunity

Perhaps your ability to judge things is impaired?
no i don't think so looking at his stats this year, the lack of belief from your selection panel, his downsides slow, kicking issues and as stated by your supporters lack of ability to play in other positions, why would you pay more than a 3rd rounder.

Who was that? I will know if your being honest.

The main reason he wont demand much rather than not doing anything on the AFL stage for 2 years but more so the fact he is uncontracted and wants to go home. Meaning eagles will likely be forced to accept unders or see him walk into PSD.

He doesn't have any major kicking issues, nor is he slow. He has successfully played as a HFF a fair amount at WAFL level.

There hasn't been a lack of belief from our selection panel since our midfield rotations have been essentially fixed throughout 2012.

You are seriously misrepresenting the situation purely for the sake of point scoring in an argument. Tell me which midfielders outside of Priddis, Shuey, Kerr, Scooter and Gaff should have been dropped so that he could play?

You do realise that this is a strong draft and runs pretty deep, Stevens has been around for 3 years and has done ??
I believe he was pick 26 and after 3 years of nothing wouldnt give up a 2nd rounder for him

picks 40-50/55 would be about where he is atm

It's a similar strength to the 09 draft, the clubs that draft someone as good as Koby in the third round will be very pleased.

No worse than an early third round pick for mine.
