WC gave us pick 49 for Hill, who had played more games, and performed at a higher level than Stevens. A pick in the 40's is more than fair.

Koby's worth is about a pick in the 40s.

Will be interesting to see which club he nominates tomorrow.

Of the 3 reported clubs interested, the Bulldogs have 2 picks in the 40s that can seal a deal at 41 or 47.

Bombers have pick 48.

Saints have 53.

I'd say Essendon's pick 32 and St Kilda's 34 are a little high for Stevens. Bulldogs have no other picks in between 21 and 41.

If he chooses Saints, a logical deal will be to involve Cripps and a shuffle of picks perhaps to make everyone happy.

St Kilda also have pick 43 which they received from GWS as part of the Tom Lee trade. IF Stevens does come to St Kilda then Cripps will be part of the deal.

I'm starting to think a 3rd rounder is over paying now 4th rounder at best or maybe get him to walk into the pre season draft

Yep you are correct. Overlooked that.

43 would also be enough to secure a deal IMO but with Cripps implicated in a move to WCE makes sense to base it around a swap with a shuffle of picks.

I don't know if he is a total douche like that. Not many players will willingly walk into the draft and screw over their current club.

Stevens has more worth than Cripps. Cripps like Josh Hill can be turned into a good footballer but West Coast will have to iron out all the kinks in his game like we did with Hill. Stevens however is a ready made footballer who has been taught well.

Stevens is worth a pick between 30-35, Cripps like I said last week about the mid 40's.

I think his point was that opinion was put rather factually.

Yeah right! The way he worded his post is no different to anyone else on this thread. Have you actually read the thread?

Let's be honest - West Coast supporter was just having a bitch for no good reason at all.

Nar i was just joking i don't like clubs getting players to walk as in most cases it will probably come back to bite you

I'd rather push Stevens into draft than give him away. 40’a is basically thievery and is generally going to offer us nothing anyway so why bother trading?

Stevens was picked 2nd round 3 years ago, still can't get a game, and you think 3rd round is thievery?

How is it offering you nothing i'm sure west coast can draft good players with later picks

Why bother though? Almost insanely likely to be a dud, we will already have pick in the region with our team probably only going in with 2 live picks anyway.

Just suggests that we are weak in trading.

Edit: larson Are you too stupid to understand who and why he is kept out or are you purposely ignoring that fact?

I guess its just one of those things. The last couple of years we have done alright with our 3rd picks in browne and o brien. I think there is still go talent around the 3rd rounder you just have to target the right player.

He cant even get a game in front of Swift and Mcginnity? He is shite

How does a player who isn't a regular AFL stalwart, create enough conversation for 36 pages of debate
Blame city Hall and its ridiculously lengthy Draft/trading weeks, or is it months, I've completely lost track of time.

I guess that they are making a nice earn garnering hits and selling ads on the truly lame 'draft radio'.

He's one of a very few names being thrown about, and like dogs at a bin, the inevitable fight ensues.

40+ is about correct weight for him these days, past draft position has no baring to today's injury plagued value. Its without doubt the biggest furphy trotted out at this time of year.

He's bust at West Coast...Move on.

What would weagles fans think of a Cale Morton for Stevens deal? Melbourne aren't one of the 3 Vic teams interested, but just want to know your thoughts. One has played quite a few games and is shit (value = 0), one has played bugger all games and has been somewhat injury prone (value = 0).

How many games young player get is relative to the strength of the team.
Stevens would have played every game this year with Essendon and a half a dozen other clubs.

Too stupid? Tell me who is keeping him out. Mcginnity? Masten? Swift? Big deal

Never seen him play but because he is behind Priddis, Masten & A Selwood - Ebert last year - I imagine it would be fair to say he can't kick.

I'm interested to know how you come to that conclusion? Stevens pick 23 in 2009 and Cripps pick 24 in the 2010 draft. Cripps has more exposure and therefore is more proven at AFL level and in a shorter period of time and he would hold more value coming from the more recent draft. I'd suggest there isn't a lot of difference between the two in terms of trade value, we'll likely see a straight swap if this trade does happen, but I'm just interested in why you have Stevens ahead of Cripps. To me it doesn't make sense and I'm being totally impartial.

After Mitch I dont think another Morton would be what where after. I think there were some issues with his old man. That and fact that he seems rubbish and would be behind about 6 other guys to get a game.

A deal for Cripps directly or a three way trade with dogs

Don't you know the West Coast jumper increases value 30%. I hope we don't get him, all I've heard is he is slow, lazy and can't kick, we have had lots of that sort of player recently, please no more.
