Does he dislike Lyon? We've did you hear that?

Some Saints fans mentioned it on here. Something about the younger Saints not getting along with him.

That's just Saints fan joining the dots and saying because Ross Lyon didn't develop the younger talent that well, all the young players hatde him. The fact is, in his first year and Lyon's last year at the club, Cripps played 4 games in the first half of the season (despite being very skinny and just being diagnosed with diabetes), before getting injured for the rest of the season. So, you can't say Ross wasn't giving Cripps game time. He may very well hate him, however I can't see why, as I'm pretty sure Ross rated him highly due to the game time he was given.

what about how lyon left the saints? from what i understand there was widespread dislike of lyon in the saints player group with the manner of his departure.

This thread may well turn out to be the most epic thing to come out of Kobe's career thus far!

You know a thread has run its race when you spend the last few pages talking about another player entirely.

Oh...yeah. 51 It'll be.

I'm surprised it's not done yet.

What? Just like Cripps is leaving St Kilda and making it very difficult by only nominating one club. Would be highly hypocritical.

I heard those rumours. I think it was more the loger term players ( David Armitage ) who had been there a while, performed pretty well but failed to get a gig ahead of "trusty role players"
As someone said, Cripps got a few games, though mostly sub. He was a very good sub, an impact player who would come on and kick a couple of goals. He then had "compartment syndrom" ( google it if you arent queasy ) until the end of the year.
His second year, well he didn't impact as much in his "full games" as he did when he was sub. Still found the goals a lot, and probably improved during the season.
I'd be very happy if we could convince him to stay, because his potential still outweighs his current value.

It's SNF, so it's likely fiction.

But if the article is to be believed, sounds like the Eagles are saying "44 or we'll put him in the draft", and the Dogs are saying "whatever, take 51 if you want." Who will blink first? I think the Eagles will.

As has been said before, most likely Pelchen playing games and holding up the Cripps trade till the last minute. Stevens trade and probably other discussions would be waiting on Pelchen and his ego.

I'm only guessing, but I think if the Dogs offered 44 it would be deal done, regardless of what was happening with Cripps.

considering the path to the dogs through the draft is a relatively easy one, and the difference between 51 and 44 is small, id suggest the eagles will just give up and take 51

unless 44 is required to get cripps, in which case they might have to be stubborn to try to get 44

I'm not quite sure what the incentive for the Dogs is to offer more, it's not that we're lacking in inside mids.

a reconciliation with cripps would be locking the gate after that ship has flown, im afraid

his potential and even his on-field value are not in proportion with his trade value, which is much diminished because of him walking out on the club (assuming he HAS moved back to WA and thats not just a rumour)

its the same with koby, hes gone, so we basically have to take what we can get, which is substantially below how he is rated at the club. the dogs are going to get a bargain.

the is only 3 possible reasons why the dogs would go higher

first, if koby was convinced by another club to agree to terms there, and they came up with a better offer.

second, if they had other ideas about the PSD draft pick. if the dogs have someone in their sights for that pick they might be prepared to give up pick 44 to preserve it.

third, there is also the slight possibility that a club ahead of them will take koby, for example melbourne, and they may want to mitigate that risk.

other than those three long shots, the dogs will most likely sit on a 51, which the eagles will likely accept in the end, because its clear thats the best they can do, and there is no reason to force koby into the draft

Does anyone have any news on this? Does he twitter or anything? And staying at his mum's place during the off season is not "evidence".

Yeah, plenty of posturing going on, pretty sure Collingwood said they'd let Wellingham walk then a day later the deal was done, I'm expecting Koby to be traded before Friday (I bloody hope)

Will WCE even use pick 51? If not, then they have nothing to lose by refusing the trade.
If they do want to draft deep, then I would imagine they would grudgingly accept 51.

I can't understand how this thread is so long. Why do the fringe players always receive massive attention during the trade period?

44 is probably the go, 51 is too low.

51 would still be our second pick. we have 41, 61, 62....ect
