He was clearly hurt and that is why Kosi got 2, Trengove got 2 and Mumford got 2. All players were hurt and that is the difference. Why is it so hard to understand??

If Stevens got up and struggled to walk Corey would have got weeks. If you sling tackle you roll the dice - if you hurt the player you get weeks if the player is fine you get to play the following week. Easy!

Trengoves was harsh, but Dangerfield did not have the ball and hence he was over the top with the tackle, but Duncan, Steven and Ellard all had the ball in their hands when they were tackled and when they hit the turf.

Agreed, Kosi should not have been suspended for the tackle, but carry over points played a role. As for the OP's whinge that GEE are the AFL and umpires 'sweethearts' - what bollocks!

Selwood got 4 weeks for an incident no one could properly see. Stokes and Hunt will miss next week for little to nothing. And GEE have had the second most amount of frees paid against them this year by a considerable margin. About three more frees a game going against Geelong than the average. Not that i have a problem with that - not sad enough a sack to blame umpiring for game outcomes.

Both should have got zero. Even though you say 0 for Corey, if he pleads guilty it means that any future incident will basically have an extra week added to it with 95 carry over points. His previously good record will also be tarnished, meaning next time he'll get something closer to Kosi.

Both these decisions are stupid.

And I am sick to death of the AFL looking at the consequences of an incident rather than the intention.

I was against the Trengove suspension, was ridiculous then, still is, and now this happens. At least with Trengove you could see what their argument is, despite it being completely ridiculous. Dangerfield lost possession of the ball well before he hit the ground, and he missed the rest of the game through concussion.

In kosi's incident, although Duncan was dazed, he played on, he also took the ball to ground... If kosi lets go it's a clean cats possession! What the hell is he expected to do? Absolute sham of an organisation, MRP is a complete farce.

For what it's worth, Corey shouldn't have been cited either, same position as Kosi, he lets go of that tackle, it's a clean Saints touch if i remember it correctly.
