i suggest he sharpen his skills in the sandringham 2nds. He is a BIG liability.
He was thrashed so comprehensively by Fletcher, its an embarassment. A shameful disgraceful pathetic effort by a player that i have personally had a gutful of. The delivery to him was fine, he was terrible, maintaining his form for the whole year and last years finals.

Man this is just getting sad now. He seriously can only take pack marks.
That first quarter...words cannot describe. He either had perfect position on his opponent, would bump them, and fall over himself! or he would be uncontested, put his hands out to mark, and simply miss the ball.
I think they just gave up and told him to just bring it down in front which is best we can do. Send him deep forward and do that and if they run off him then gg.

He's not up to it, great person and everything but just not a good footballer. Putting him in the ruck won't make a darn of a difference. I think this will be his last year.

Actually, when the ball came in to HIS advantage he looked dangerous.

When the players demanded he lead and present like Roo, he didn't.

Funny that, when he is allowed to play his natural game he shines, when he is expected to play like Roo he doesn't.

Perhaps a new nick name for Kosi, "the wall"says a lot about his speed, his mobilty and turning circle and the fact that when the ball hits his chest it bouces off and gets rebounded down to the opposition goal
.

If anyone has seen the X Men movies. Kosi is Juggernaught.

like others have mentioned, kosi looked good on the weekend and is starting to find some more of the footy. his goal kicking and marking will improve. ppl need to lower their expectations of the big man when the ball hits the deck cause he's not the most agile bloke getting around. when it comes to the opposition rebounding too easily the finger needs to be pointed at the little fella's - mini, milne and schnieder.

To me the frustrating thing is, when Kosi is going for the mark, you know the ball is going often not going to get marked, but Milne and Schnieder are nowhere to be seen.
They are busy off somewhere else trying to outmark an opponent 30cm taller than themselves.

You are right, but I think that is more because we have men behind the ball. Surely we can start with two forwards in the forward line - a big and a small?

In all honesty I thought he was pretty solid on Sunday (certainly far from our worst)

I think having Roo leads us all to have an over-inflated opinion on how good your average KPF should be.

He took a few strong marks, kicked three goals and competed pretty well. That smother in the last was terrific.

Sure, we'd all love him to dominate week in, week out. but it's a pretty unreasonable expectation on big Koz.

Thoughts for this week? How did you all think Kosi performed?

OK but still not great. Kicked a good goal early on but then faded out of the game a bit. It was a very tough day for tall marking forwards though with the wind and rain.

Kennedy barely touched the ball for West Coast and he has been in pretty good form lately and Lynch didn't have much impact despite Dawson's best efforts to get him into the game.

Did well.

Presented up the ground and laid some crunching tackles.

Had his arms chopped in marking contests on multiple occasions and always made the ball hit the deck.

He is working hard. The rewards will soon come.

Agreed. Put him down for 5 against the Crows.

been really impressed with the way kozi has been going about it. even if he isnt scoring he's atleast improving each week and making an effort.

i think he might be our enforcer in the forward line, which is something we've missed since fraser retired. anyone see him in that scuffle at 3 qtr time when goddard kicked the goal?

BJ managed to plug one from 55 out.

Everyones talking about structure. He provides some of it. Deserved a few more frees, but as the umps gave him a couple they put the whistle away. Can't fault his effort. Does he wear contact lenses? Still missing some gettable grabs. But he is taking the best defenders and that again is freeing up the structure for the likes of Stanley.

Going to ask same question Karma, does he wear contact lenses because if not why not i am no expert on eyes but he does seem to drop some simple grabs.Everyone remembers the slap in the face he gave Rooey it just seems he has trouble seeing sometimes any other thoughts out there?

Goddard is one of the best kicks in the game though.

I wouldn't think Kosi has an eyesight problem as he takes some spectacular marks at times but then drops ones he should take. Maybe it's more of a concentration thing.

One thing you can't fault at the moment is his workrate, both him and Stanley worked hard defensively to pressure the West Coast defence. That was important as it was difficult for them to have an impact offensively in those conditions. Hopefully the rewards will start to come and he can kick a bag in the next week or two. Should be more opportunities for both him and Stanley playing Adelaide and Richmond at home.

Haha . I just remembered some Baseball movie where Charlie Sheen "Wild thing" is a fast but out of control pitcher.
They give him a pair of Clark Kent nerd glasses and suddenly all the problems are gone.
If only Kosi was so easy to cure.

i think its a pressure problem, when his on a lead and beaten an opponent, he would think 'i have to take this' for it being such a simple mark.

and then he reverses with his huge grabs, just thinking 'well, i'll probably wont take it, but what the hell' and often holds it.

Glad people acknowledged his workrate and tackling pressure, 4 tackles for a FF of his size is a good effort.

I actually look at it as a positive that he didn't have to kick a bag this week, it resulted in 9 individual goalkickers.

Our tall forwards should really only be a get out kick, not a 'look for him at every opportunity' kick IMO.

Pathetic again against Adelaide. He is not paid 400K a season to split packs. He looks lethargic and as if his mind is elsewhere....perhaps with the Gold Coast?

So talented, yet produces so little. It's such a shame. I thought in his first couple of years he may have became another Riewoldt, but not even close.

Maybe the Gold Coast would not be a bad move for Kosi.
