It's all over the press but I heard from a mate in the UK that Pietersen will pull the pin after the next Test to play T20 only. It would be a shame given the way he batted in the recently completed game at Headingley.

He's been sour ever since they stripped the captaincy from him. He can go and get stuffed. Prick of the highest order and probably needs an excuse to go chase all the T20 $$$ on offer around the world.

He is a dead set f*ckhead. Having a sad cos hes not in the T20 team and wants to play IPL ahead of test cricket for his nation? England gave him the oppurtunity to play test circket in the first place cos South Africa didnt want the twot. Ungracious, big-headed turd. England will be better off without him.

"Spectators just love watching me play". "Its hard being me" - gimme a break!

You always expected KP to go out on a sour note, never forgave the establishment for stripping him of the captaincy.

Will make some serious coin playing T20 around the world.

I've defended him in the past, but he's a twonk of the highest order.

And complaining about a satirical twitter feed? There are fake cricketer ID's on twitter all over the place.

When he came on the scene, he had the chance to go down as one of the best batsmen the game had seen, but really only showed flashes during his career. No doubt a very destructive batsman, but he really could have done so much better in the Test arena.

This bit is all about his relations with he authorities in England. No doubt he will go and sign a huge contract with the IPL.

I'll be much happier coming up against an English side with him not there, anyway. Whilst he's a twat he's the most dangerous batsmen. None of the others have innings such as his one the other day in them.

Cook is by far and away the best batsman in the team.
Cook is a grinder, a KP 150 has plenty more impact than Cook or Trott or Strauss plodding their way to get there.

Interesting who they might bring in to their line-up now? Spud Bopara? They have an India tour coming up so they're fried either way.

Cook = world class. Will become Englands best ever batsman I reckon. Still so young.

England in the sub-continent almost automatically means fail. Bopara is defiently not up for test cricket. James Taylor doesnt look anything special. Hope they get made offended just in time for the Ashes.

That really doesn't say much about batsmen from England if true to be honest.

Hutton, Compton etc did alright back in the day, ditto boycott.

I'd probably agree Cook is their best, most consistent batsmen, but Pieterson if he fires is far and away the most damaging.

Pieterson going leaves them very reliant on Cook and Trott, as Strauss is in fair decline (Windies series aside) and Bell has never really made the step up to number four, not to mention they've never really replaced Collingwood at this point. They have some batsmen slaying the County Championship but they remain untested at the top level.
